Austin restructured his contract and will remain with the Rams, Gary Klein of The Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: It was rumored that Austin would either seek a trade or release at the beginning of the new league year, but the longtime Ram will remain in Los Angeles for at least the immediate future. The 27-year-old saw a major drop in pass-catching production in Sean McVay's offense last season, recording 13 receptions for 47 yards. However, Austin did see a career-high 59 rushing attempts for 270 yards and one score.

Bags apparently packed
The Rams will either trade or release Austin before the start of the league year, a source has told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Analysis: Austin has come nowhere near his No. 8 overall status from 2013, never posting more than 509 receiving yards in five NFL seasons while typically being used more as a gadget-play guy or big-play specialist. Although the Rams finally put together an exciting offense in 2017, Austin was even less a focal point, totaling an ugly 47 receiving yards to go with 270 rushing yards while suiting up in all 16 games. It appears his time with the Rams may be done.

Austin received just two offensive snaps and wasn't targeted during Saturday's 26-13 loss to the Falcons in the wild-card round.
Analysis: After topping 50 receptions in consecutive seasons, Austin only received 22 targets in 2017. He was more involved in the rushing attack with a career-high 59 carries for 270 yards and a touchdown, but he only caught 13 passes for 47 yards. The additions of Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp and Sammy Watkins pushed Austin down the receiver depth chart and almost entirely out of the offensive game plan. Austin rushed four times for 24 yards and caught three of five targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 34-13 loss to San Francisco.
Analysis: After seeing the field for just six offensive snaps last week, Austin was much more involved in Week 17. However, it's also because the Rams rested and limited a number of their starters. It's been a disastrous fantasy campaign for the speedster, as he never found a niche in first-year head coach Sean McVay's offense. There's a chance Austin can carve out a role in 2018, but it's probably best to take a wait-and-see approach in keeper/dynasty settings, and he's likely best viewed as a risky…read more

Austin rushed 10 times for 44 yards during Sunday's 42-7 win over Seattle.
Analysis: The speedster's first carry came in the second quarter with the Rams ahead 13-0, and then he didn't touch the ball again until the game was entirely out of hand in the third quarter. Austin still only saw the field for 14 of 71 offensive plays, and he didn't receive a target for a second consecutive week. As a result, there aren't many fantasy settings where he should be relied on, especially at this stage of the season.

Austin had one carry for six yards and had negative-nine receiving yards and a lost fumble in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
Analysis: Austin actually wasn't targeted by Jared Goff in the game, but the receiving yards and lost fumble came on the final play of the game as the Rams used laterals as a last ditch effort, and Austin was the unlucky man. The 26-year-old speedster continues to have a minimal impact despite the Rams' revamped offense, and has yet to reach 50 yards from scrimmage in a game this season.

Austin rushed three times for eight yards and failed to haul in his lone reception during Sunday's 32-16 win over Arizona.
Analysis: Austin's underwhelming season continues, and at this stage of the game, he's a low-end option in all fantasy settings. The 2013 first-round pick has been just targeted 17 times through 12 games, as Austin has been utilized more as a change-of-pace rusher with 44 totes for 196 yards on the campaign. The speedster's potential game-breaking ability in space hasn't materialized with head coach Sean McVay's calling the plays, and with Los Angeles 9-3 and eyeing the postseason, it's unlikely Austin…read more

Austin carried the ball five times for 17 yards and caught three passes for a loss of a yard during Sunday's 26-20 win over the Saints.
Analysis: The catches tied a season high and snapped a three-game catchless streak for the former first-round pick. The Rams are trying to find ways to use the unique skillset of Austin and he saw 27 offensive snaps on Sunday, but he just doesn't really fit in with what new head coach Sean McVay is trying to do. Austin has four times as many carries as catches this season and -- despite all that speed -- is averaging just 4.5 yards per touch and has two plays of 20 or more yards this season.

Austin played only 11 of 66 offensive snaps and rushed twice for just five yards during Sunday's 33-7 win over Houston.
Analysis: Austin wasn't targeted in the passing game for a second consecutive week, and he has just seven receptions for 43 yards through nine games for the campaign. That's not exactly the usage fantasy owners are coveting from a wide receiver. At this stage of the season, it's pretty clear that Austin is primarily locked in as a change-of-pace option out of the backfield. Austin rushed six times for 34 yards and finished with nine receiving yards during Sunday's 51-17 win over the Giants.
Analysis: Austin wasn't credited with a target or reception in the contest and now has just seven catches for 43 yards this season. The speedster has done most of his damage on the ground with 31 carries for 169 rushing yards and a score. It's unlikely his involvement in the offense increases moving forward -- especially with the Rams averaging the most points per game in the league. As a result of his limited role, Austin is extremely difficult to rely on in the majority of fantasy settings.

Austin caught both his targets for 15 yards and rushed three times for 27 yards during Sunday's 33-0 win over Arizona.
Analysis: Austin's longest rush went for 17 yards, and it was encouraging to see him more involved in the offense. Still, the speedster was on the field for just 19 of 80 offensive snaps. With only seven receptions, 34 receiving yards and 135 rushing yards, Austin offers limited fantasy value. He has the big-play potential to find the end zone, but his role in the offense is too small to rely on him in most settings. There's a chance his usage increases following Los Angeles' Week 8 bye.

Austin rushed twice for no yardage and didn't receive a target during Sunday's 27-17 win over Jacksonville.
Analysis: After scoring his first touchdown of the season last week, the speedster was on the field for just nine of 59 offense snaps and uninvolved in the passing attack Sunday. Austin has garnered only 10 targets through six games, as he's been utilized mainly as a change-of-pace rusher under first-year head coach Sean McVay. Austin caught three of five targets for 14 yards Sunday against the Seahawks. He also carried six times for 27 yards and a touchdown while losing a fumble.
Analysis: Austin couldn't generate much efficiency on the ground or through the air, but he got the scoring started with an explosive 27-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. The nine touches were a season high for Austin, but the results illustrate that he is still fairly reliant on big plays for any sort of tangible fantasy value. He should remain in this utility role looking ahead to the Week 6 matchup with the Jaguars.

Analysis: Dallas struggled to contain the Los Angeles running game all afternoon Sunday, and Austin had his best showing of the season as a result. Still, the speedster isn't involved enough in the offensive game plan to be a reliable fantasy option. He's only caught two passes and rushed for just 81 yards all season. Austin (concussion) was a full participant at Friday's practice and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Dallas.

Not on injury report Wednesday
Austin (hamstring) wasn't listed on the Rams' injury report Wednesday, Myles Simmons of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Austin operated under a maintenance program after injuring his hamstring early in training camp, keeping him on the sideline for each of the Rams' four exhibitions. The approach clearly worked in the team's favor, as he's uncapped in drills to begin Week 1 prep. With a better supporting cast around him in the form of Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods, the attention devoted to that duo and running back Todd Gurley could give Austin more room to work in a gadget role.

On pace to play Week 1
Head coach Sean McVay said Sunday he expects Austin (hamstring) to suit up for the Rams' Week 1 matchup with the Colts, Myles Simmons of the Rams' official site reports.
Analysis: Although all the starters, plus Austin, have been ruled out for preseason Week 4, the wide receiver has made "huge progress" in his recovery from a hamstring tweak early in training camp, McVay told Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. Austin caught just two of four targets for 18 yards and rushed twice for two yards during Sunday's loss to Arizona.
Analysis: After scoring nine touchdowns in 2015, the writing was on the wall for a letdown from Austin this year. He didn't do enough with his 19 extra targets to make up for the expected negative touchdown regression, and he rushed 24 fewer times and for 275 fewer yards than last season. Austin's game-breaking ability -- and hefty salary -- should ensure he's a piece of the puzzle again in 2017, but without a significant step forward from the entire offense, his fantasy ceiling will remain low.

Analysis: The score was Austin's fourth of the season and his first of the rushing variety. It also highlights a significant decline from his nine-touchdown showing in 2015. Austin is rarely targeted downfield, and while he owns game-breaking potential, the pedestrian Los Angeles offense significantly limits his fantasy upside. Austin has been held in check for three straight games, however, with just four receptions on 11 targets for 57 yards during that span. If ever there was a week that Austin was going to bust out, it would be next week at New Orleans, which has struggled to stop opposing offenses.

Austin rushed twice for 10 yards and caught two of seven targets for 19 receiving yards during Sunday's 9-6 win over the Jets.
Analysis: Austin was taken to the locker room at one point due to a what appeared to be a right leg injury, but he was able to return. Unfortunately, it was another weak fantasy performance, as he failed to account for even 50 yards for the third time in the last four games. Austin has plenty of big-play ability, but his lack of touches limits his fantasy upside.

Austin caught one of two targets for 17 yards and rushed for a single yard on his lone carry during Sunday's loss to Carolina.
Analysis: After snatching a career-high 10 receptions in Week 7, Austin fell off the fantasy map Sunday. He's averaging 4.6 catches and 39.5 receiving yards per game this season, which hardly moves the needle, and the game-to-game inconsistency makes him a difficult receiver to project weekly. Additionally, after scoring nine touchdowns last year, Austin has just two scores this season. Still, he's one of the more dynamic options in the Rams' passing attack, and getting the ball in his hands is usually a…read more

Austin turned a team-leading 15 targets into 10 receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's game versus the Giants. He also gained 10 yards on his only carry of the 17-10 loss.
Analysis: Austin reached double-digit receptions in a game for the first time in his career, but his lackluster 5.7 yards per attempt capped what could have been a much bigger day. The attention he receives from Case Keenum is encouraging given his big-play ability, but Austin is averaging just 42.7 yards per game this season. The Rams will enjoy a bye in Week 8 before taking on the Panthers the following Sunday.

Austin caught three of four targets for 24 yards and added another two yards on three carries in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Lions.
Analysis: The speedster struggled to generate big plays, as five of his touches went for eight yards or fewer. He was tied for fourth on the team in targets, and was unable to impact the game via special teams, as his only punt return went for two yards. Austin is not a featured part of the offense on a weekly basis, and will once again be a risky fantasy play in Week 7, although the matchup versus a beatable Giants secondary offers some upside.

Austin caught seven of 10 targets for 59 yards and added three rushes for 26 yards in Sunday's 30-19 loss to the Bills.
Analysis: Austin led the Rams in targets Sunday, but didn't do much with all those looks. He nearly scored on a running play in the first half though, but was stopped at the one-yard line. Interestingly, Austin has just nine rushes this season after carrying the ball 52 times last year, though that might not necessarily be a bad thing, as he's on pace to shatter his previous career high of 87 targets from 2015. On the flip side, the speedy playmaker hasn't been efficient with his extra looks this year,…read more

Austin caught just two passes for 14 yards and rushed once for a six-yard loss during Sunday's game against the Cardinals. However, Austin's 47-yard punt return kicked-started the drive that yielded the game-winning touchdown.
Analysis: Austin was questionable for the game Sunday with a shoulder injury, but his weak fantasy production was likely unrelated. He has garnered a healthy 35 targets through the first four weeks of the season but turned them into just 16 receptions, 159 receiving yards and a single score, which highlights his boom-or-bust fantasy nature. Sunday was also the 17th time Austin has been held under 50 yards receiving over his past 20 outings dating back to the beginning of last season.

Austin (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game in Arizona, Myles Simmons of the Rams' official site reports.
Analysis: After culminating the week with a full practice Friday, there wasn't much worry that Austin's shoulder issue would impact his inclusion on the active roster Sunday. In this precise week last season at Arizona, he reached the end zone twice during a six-catch, 96-yard effort, aiding in a 24-22 victory.

Austin (shoulder) is expected to play Sunday against Arizona, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Analysis: Austin was able to practice fully Friday after being limited Wednesday and Thursday, and while he's gotten a surprising 29 targets through three weeks, he's done little to turn those into sizable fantasy production. Additionally, a matchup against the stout Cardinals defense doesn't lend itself to much optimism for a breakout.

Austin (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Arizona.
Analysis: Austin followed limited showings Wednesday and Thursday with a full practice Friday, suggesting he should be fine for Sunday. He's surprisingly drawn a team-high 29 targets through three weeks, though it didn't translate into production until last week's win over the Bucs. If the Rams fall behind, which isn't exactly far fetched, Austin could be in for another high-volume outing.

Austin was limited at Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder injury, Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Austin has been targeted a fair amount this season, and while his catch rate (14 of 29) falls short of 50 percent, he's sustained relevance due to his use as both a pass catcher and rusher. Wednesday's limited practice is a tad concerning, but the fourth-year pro has two sessions remaining to allay fears about his Week 4 availability.

Austin caught five of eight targets for 82 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-32 win at Tampa Bay. He also ran two times for 22 yards.
Analysis: As usual, Austin was involved throughout, but he didn't make much of an impact until he scored from 43 yards out with just under five minutes to play. The touchdown was Austin's first of the season, as the Rams had struggled to generate much offense in their previous two games. The versatile wideout is always a threat to score, however, with his speed and play-making ability. He'll have a tough test in Week 4, facing the Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Austin caught five passes (on nine targets) for 50 yards and added two rushes for six yards in Sunday's win over the Seahawks.
Analysis: While Austin's stat line was not eye-popping, he did well to rebound from an awful Week 1 performance where he reeled in just one-third of his targets. The Rams' wide receiving corps is perhaps one of the least reliable in the league for fantasy production, and, even though Austin is Los Angeles' No. 2 wide receiver, his fantasy production will likely continue to be jeopardized as long as so many questions remain regarding Case Keenum and the Rams' quarterback situation. Start with caution.

Austin caught four passes (on 12 targets) for 13 yards in Monday night's season-opening loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Austin also rushed the ball once for a two-yard gain. His performance Monday evidenced the brutality of Los Angeles' offense as a whole, as his 12 targets doubled that of his next-closest teammate, yet quarterback Case Keenum completed only a third of those attempts, hardly mustering more than 10 yards. Signs four-year extension with Rams
The Rams and Austin agreed to a four-year, $42 million contract extension Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: This is quite the investment for a player who hasn't surpassed 500 yards receiving in any of his three NFL seasons. On the one hand, he's a threat as a receiver, rusher, and returner, totaling 10 touchdowns in all regards last season. However, his career yards per target mark (5.7) isn't appealing in the slightest, meaning he must contribute in other realms in order to sustain relevance. In the end, his cause will be helped by a relative lack of talent in the receiving corps in Los Angeles.

Austin had one carry for three yards in Saturday's preseason opener against the Cowboys.
Analysis: Austin also received one target but didn't haul it in. With the exception of one partially-missed practice due to cramping, the multi-dimensional weapon has enjoyed a healthy training camp as he prepares for his fourth NFL season. A repeat of last year's 10 touchdowns would be a lot to ask, but Austin should have a similar role in a St. Louis offense that only has room to improve.

Austin's early exit from Sunday's practice was merely due to leg cramps, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Austin was carted out of Sunday's session, but his issue was never thought to be serious and coach Jeff Fisher confirmed that notion afterward, confirming he was just dealing with cramps. At this stage in camp, strains and cramps are bound to result from an increased workload, so Austin's situation is hardly worrisome and he should be back in action soon.

Analysis: Austin likely just suffered a painful leg/foot cramp, which can make it difficult to walk for the next few minutes. Austin rushed six times for 32 yards and added 30 yards on five catches in a 19-16 overtime loss to the 49ers on Sunday.
Analysis: The Rams made a much more concerted effort to get Austin the ball this season, and it helped get them some wins. Austin finishes the season with 52 catches for 473 yards and five touchdowns to go with 52 rushes for 434 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. All in all, it was a pretty good season for Austin, despite the fact that St. Louis had terrible quarterback play much of the year. Analysis: Austin was actually the team's second leading receiver Sunday, as Case Keenum completed just 14 of 23 passes for 103 yards in rainy and wet field conditions. The third-year wideout has generally been a touchdown-dependent fantasy player this season, although the Rams have been creative in trying to get him the ball on jet sweeps, reverses and traditional hand offs. Austin caught all three of his targets for 41 yards and a touchdown, adding 32 yards and another touchdown on four carries, in Thursday's 31-23 win over the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Austin took a screen pass for a 17-yard touchdown on the opening drive, later scoring from 21 yards out on an end-around. It was his third multi-touchdown performance of the season, but there have also been quite a few duds along the way, as he's yet to see more than seven targets in a game. Austin's touchdown-dependency isn't necessarily a bad thing on the whole, but it doesn't bode well for his prospects in a Week 16 road matchup with the red-hot Seahawks.

Austin gained 24 yards on a reception and another 14 on the ground in a 27-3 loss to Arizona on Sunday.
Analysis: Austin is the second-best option in the Rams' offense, so it's strange that they would only give him two carries when the game didn't get out of hand until the second half. The unit has completely deflated over the last four games, with only three touchdowns in that span. While Austin certainly has potential for fantasy excellence, he is mired in the muck of St. Louis' offense and only touches the ball a few times a game.

Analysis: The normally electrifying young receiver failed to find any room to operate, posting just 21 yards from scrimmage and costing his team with a costly turnover on special teams. Analysis: Despite the favorable matchup against the beatable Bears secondary, Austin came through with one of his worst performances of the season in posting just 23 yards from scrimmage. The third-year wideout continues to contribute in several different areas for the Rams, but his weekly outputs remain extremely fickle. A matchup against the Ravens and their generous secondary awaits in Week 11, but Austin will remain a risky fantasy option.

Analysis: While his receiving numbers are inconsistent from week-to-week, Austin has remained a factor in the ground attack, and managed to set a new career-high in that department on Sunday. The third-year wideout is always capable of breaking loose, thanks to his contributions in multiple roles, but he also carries a bit of downside due to the run-heavy nature of the Rams' offense.
