Could get help in slot
Golladay's (chest) emergence in 2018 may have made teammate Marvin Jones (knee) expendable for the upcoming season, but the Lions could opt to keep both players and focus on upgrading the slot position in the months to come, Nate Atkins of MLive.com reports.
Analysis: Golladay was one of the few bright spots in an ugly 2018 campaign for the Lions, catching 79 of 119 targets for 1,063 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games before sitting out Week 17 with a chest injury. He's the clear favorite to lead the team in targets next season, regardless of whether or not Jones is brought back at his somewhat reasonable $9.2 million cap hit (per OverTheCap.com). To sit out Week 17
Golladay (chest) is inactive Sunday against Green Bay.
Analysis: While Golladay played through the issue in Week 16, he didn't do enough in the practice week to inspire confidence in his status for the regular-season finale. He'll end up sitting out a relatively meaningless game, leaving the depleted wide receiver group to be led by the likes of Andy Jones, TJ Jones and Brandon Powell. It's a tough break for any fantasy owners counting on Week 17 production, as he would have faced an already-vulnerable Green Bay secondary that is further depleted by injuries.

Deemed questionable
Golladay (chest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Green Bay, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: While he didn't go through individual drills during the open portion of Friday's practice, Golladay apparently did enough to be labeled as a limited participant for a second straight day. He played through the same chest injury during last week's 27-9 loss to Minnesota, catching six passes for 58 yards on 15 targets. Golladay gets a better matchup this week and is a strong bet for heavy volume if he plays, but it is possible the Lions opt for a cautious approach in the final game of a lost…read more

Doesn't do much at Friday practice
Golladay (chest) was present for Friday's practice with a helmet, but he didn't go through individual drills, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Golladay presumably will be listed as a limited participant for a second straight day, after starting the week with an absence Wednesday. His status now appears murky for Sunday's game in Green Bay, with another update coming once the Lions release their final injury report Friday afternoon.

Upgrades to limited participation
Golladay (chest) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Analysis: One week removed from being limited all week by a chest injury, Golladay has progressed from no activity Wednesday to some Thursday. Clearly, he's trending in the right direction, but Friday's injury report will reveal whether he enters the weekend with a designation. Since Golden Tate was dealt to Philadelphia between Weeks 8 and 9, Golladay has put together an eight-game run composed of 40 catches (on 75 targets) for 586 yards and two touchdowns.

Back in session
Golladay (chest) returned to practice Thursday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Analysis: With the chest injury in tow, Golladay practiced in a limited capacity last week, so he isn't too far behind this time around, especially if he progresses to an uncapped session Thursday and/or Friday. The Lions' second Week 17 injury report will divulge his activity level as he aims to play through the discomfort for one more game.

Continues to deal with chest issue
Golladay didn't practice Wednesday due to a chest injury, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Golladay was limited by the same issue all of last week, so his lack of participation this week may just be a precautionary measure. Only time will tell, though. The second-year wide receiver has two more chances to take part in practice before Sunday's visit to Green Bay.

No practice reps Wednesday
Golladay didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Golladay has tended to chest and quadriceps injuries during the stretch run, but those issues haven't stopped him from taking the field on gameday. Over the least seven games, he's drawn eight targets in a contest six times. He's surpassed 100 yards twice and scored two touchdowns during that span en route to 37 receptions for 540 yards and two touchdowns, making him a must-start option if he's deemed ready to go Sunday against the Packers.

Turns 15 targets into 58 yards
Golladay (chest) came down with just six of 15 targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 27-9 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: Golladay has been the only functional piece in Detroit's passing game for a while now, and even he's having trouble getting much going with the shell of Matthew Stafford (back) struggling under center. The volume should be there for the second-year wide receiver in Week 17, but don't count on Golladay ending his five-game touchdown drought when the Lions travel to Green Bay.

Suiting up Week 16
Golladay (chest) is listed as active Sunday against the Vikings, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Analysis: In the wake of a career-high 146-yard performance last Sunday against the Bills' top-ranked pass defense, Golladay was limited in practice all week by a chest injury. Nevertheless, he'll be available against a slightly less staunch Minnesota defense through the air that contained him to a 3-46-0 line on four targets Week 9.

Likely good to go Week 16
Golladay (chest), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings, is expected to play, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Analysis: Golladay's status will be confirmed when the Lions release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to 1 p.m. EST kickoff, but it looks like fantasy managers planning on using the wideout can bank on him being available. The second-year player is coming off a Week 15 outing against the Bills in which he posted a career-high 146 receiving yards, but Minnesota limited Golladay to three receptions for 46 yards on four targets back in Week 9.

Receives questionable tag
Golladay (chest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Analysis: Golladay's practice reps were limited throughout the week while he managed the chest injury, which he likely picked up at some point during the Week 15 loss to the Bills. Even in that unfavorable matchup, Golladay parlayed eight targets into seven receptions for 146 yards, so he should still make for an appealing option in fantasy lineups this week if the injury doesn't prevent him from suiting up. Reps capped again
Golladay (chest) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Golladay may be following the same practice regimen as a week ago, when he logged limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday before advancing to full participation Friday. If he again turns in a full showing in the Lions' final practice of the week, there won't be any concern about his status for Sunday's matchup with the Vikings. Limited by chest injury
Golladay was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice report with a chest injury.
Analysis: Golladay's reps were capped in the first two practices of last week as a result of a quadriceps issue, but he turned in a full session Friday and proceeded to post a career-best 146 receiving yards Sunday in Buffalo. With a different concern this time around, his activity level should still be watched, but it's an encouraging sign that he was on the field in some fashion for the start of Week 16 prep.

Racks up 146 yards in losing effort
Golladay caught seven of eight targets for 146 yards in Sunday's 14-13 loss to Buffalo.
Analysis: Golladay was the only offensive player able to get going for the Lions, as no other receiver reached the 30-yard mark and no Detroit player got to 50 rushing yards. This performance broke a three-week trend of declining yardage totals, and it gives Golladay 90-plus yards in three of the past five games coming into a Week 16 date with the Vikings.

Ready for Week 14
Golladay (quadriceps) doesn't carry a designation into Sunday's contest at Arizona.
Analysis: After having his practice reps capped Wednesday and Thursday due to a quad issue, Golladay didn't miss a single one at Friday's session. As the Lions' unquestioned top pass catcher in the wake of Marvin Jones' season-ending knee injury, Golladay may be shadowed by Cardinals All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson on Sunday. Despite the preceding, Golladay has been targeted 44 times over the last four games, volume that is difficult to discount.

Analysis: Golladay seems to have picked up a minor issue in the process of catching three passes for 50 yards on eight targets in Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Rams. Underwhelms in Week 13 loss
Golladay brought in three of eight targets for 50 yards in the Lions' 30-16 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
Analysis: Serving as the most proven receiving threat on the team by far, Golladay saw plenty of defensive attention, which helped lead to a poor catch rate. The second-year wideout was able to notch a 24-yard grab that accounted for nearly half of his production, but his receiving yardage tally was his lowest over the last four games. Golladay will look to bounce back with a return to his previous production when the Lions tangle with the Cardinals in Week 14.

Analysis: Golladay had a slow first half before coming on after halftime to fall just short of his second straight 100-yard effort. The 25-year-old did manage his third straight solid line, and he's now brought in 19 of 36 targets for 281 yards and a pair of touchdowns over the last three contests. Analysis: Golladay co-led the Lions in receptions Sunday while pacing the team in receiving yardage. The second-year wideout saw a spike in volume that was partly influenced by Marvin Jones exiting the game with an apparent knee injury in the fourth quarter, but he was a main cog in the air attack from the beginning of the game regardless. Quiet in first game sans Tate
Golladay caught three of four targets for 46 yards and rushed once for eight yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: While Golladay exceeded his receiving yardage from each of the past two games, he came up short of his production from the first five weeks. The second-year wide receiver was supposed to see an increased role following the trade of Golden Tate to the Eagles, but the Detroit offense looked dysfunctional in general, as Matthew Stafford threw for only 199 yards while taking 10 sacks. Golladay and the Lions will travel to Chicago in Week 10.

Trending up after trade of Tate
Golladay has moved up the Lions' depth chart at wide receiver following the trade of Golden Tate to the Eagles.
Analysis: Since the team's Week 6 bye, Golladay has been targeted just three times, catching all of them for 49 yards across two games. At the same time, Tate maintained his usual high volume with 18 targets. With Tate elsewhere in the NFC, Golladay and Marvin Jones will gobble up Tate's nearly 10 looks per game. This reality should help Golladay bounce back from his recent swoon, especially with a mark of 10.8 YPT for the second-year pro.

Analysis: Considering quarterback Matthew Stafford attempted just 22 passes all game long, Golladay's lowly target share isn't a huge concern. After all, prior to Week 7, the second-year receiver was averaging 8.2 looks and 5.4 receptions for a team-leading 85.6 receiving yards per game. Golladay has no fewer than four receptions in any game, and now he's found the end zone in three of the past four contests. Analysis: Golladay scored the first touchdown of the game by exploiting a 49ers defensive miscommunication that left the receiver by himself down the left sidelines. He possibly could've had another score had quarterback Matthew Stafford found him wide open on a failed third-down pass later on in the game. Golladay caught one of five targets for 36 yards in Friday's preseason win over the Buccaneers.
Analysis: The Lions opened in a two-TE formation with Marvin Jones and Golden Tate as the starting wideouts, but Golladay actually drew the most targets from Matthew Stafford, including a big gain that nearly went for a touchdown and an incompletion near the goal line. It'll be interesting to see if this becomes a trend in the Lions third preseason game next Friday against the Buccaneers. However, Tate is averaging 4.7 receptions for 44 yards on 6.7 targets per game over this stretch, compared to a 3.7/24.7/5.7 stat line for Golladay, which suggests the rookie remains No. 3 on the depth chart. Although Jones actually saw more passes come his way, Golladay again showed he was the more dynamic option downfield by catching a 40-yard bomb in the second quarter. Marvin Jones (50 snaps), Golden Tate (36) and TJ Jones (29) all got far more playing time, and yet only Tate was more productive than the rookie. His participation in pregame warmups Sunday portended good things, and indeed he's making his return this weekend. The Lions have suffered mightily in the red zone this season, ranking 27th with a 45.8 TD percentage. Thus, Golladay could get in the act immediately when the offense approaches the goal line, among other areas of the field.

Golladay (hamstring) remained limited at Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Analysis: Golladay managed limited practices throughout the week but never quite made it back to full participation. While it won't be surprising if he misses another game, he's at least taken a clear step forward since last week when he managed just one limited practice and was listed as doubtful on the final injury report. With TJ Jones filling in more than capably as the No. 3 receiver, the Lions don't have much incentive to rush Golladay back for Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Golladay (hamstring) was limited at practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Golladay has now strung together two appearances at practice, albeit with a cap on his reps. The rookie wideout is seeking to put an end to a five-game absence, but merely staying on the field for practices this week would give Golladay a good chance to return. If he gets clearance before Sunday's matchup with the Browns, he'll have difficulty superseding either Golden Tate or Marvin Jones in terms of overall snap count, but Golladay's red-zone prowess could come into play almost immediately.

Golladay (hamstring) took part in Wednesday's practice, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Analysis: On either side of Monday's win at Green Bay, Golladay has been a participant at practice. It's unknown if he'll replicate Saturday's limited showing, but the rookie wideout may finally be getting over the hamstring strain that has forced five consecutive absences to date.

Golladay (hamstring) is listed as inactive Monday at Green Bay.
Analysis: Golladay's journey through a hamstring strain included a setback immediately after the Lions returned from a Week 7 bye. With one limited practice both of the last two weeks, he didn't appear to be approaching a return until he was seen running routes with Lions receivers during pregame warmups, per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. While Golladay progresses in his recovery, the wideout corps will be comprised of Golden Tate, Marvin Jones and TJ Jones.

Golladay (hamstring) is doubtful for Monday's game against Green Bay.
Analysis: The promising rookie was able to return to practice in a limited capacity Saturday, giving some hope that he might make his return in Week 10, but Monday's game against Green Bay is off the table. T.J. Jones will continue to function as the clear third receiver behind Golden Tate and Marvin Jones.

Golladay (hamstring) participated in Saturday's practice and was seen "moving well during individual drills," Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Analysis: After missing both Thursday and Friday's practices, Golladay seems to be making progress in his recovery. More word may emerge after the conclusion of Saturday's practice regarding his status for Monday against the Packers, though it seems safe to still consider him questionable for the time being. If he ends up being sidelined for Week 9, expect T.J. Jones to serve as the team's No. 3 receiver behind Golden Tate and Marvin Jones.

Golladay (hamstring) wasn't present for practice Friday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
Analysis: The Lions will wait and see what Golladay is able to do in their final practice of the week Saturday before determining his status for Monday's game against the Packers, but it appears the rookie wideout is trending toward a fifth consecutive absence after recently aggravating a strained hamstring. Assuming Golladay sits out the Week 9 matchup, TJ Jones will be in line to serve as the Lions' No. 3 receiver behind Golden Tate and Marvin Jones.

Golladay (hamstring) didn't practice Thursday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Analysis: Coming out of a Week 7 bye, Golladay turned a limited practice last Wednesday before he was curiously absent both Thursday and Friday. After the latter session, he was ruled out for a fourth consecutive contest. A setback was suspected to be the culprit, and Rogers confirmed as much Thursday, calling the current concern an aggravation of Golladay's previously strained hamstring. There's no telling when Golladay will get the all-clear to play again this season, but the rookie wideout was seen…read more
