Agrees to restructured contract
Jordan agreed to restructure his contract Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Jordan was originally slated to account for $18.9 million against the cap in 2021, a figure so looming in the Saints' quest to maneuver under the salary cap that some reports suggested the star pass rusher may just be a cap causality, but the worst-case scenario never came to fruition. The 31-year-old took a dramatic fall from the double-digit sack pace he'd put together over the past three seasons, tallying just 7.5 sacks despite playing all 16 games. The veteran defensive end has never missed…read more

Continues strong play in 2020
Jordan totaled 51 tackles (34 solo), 7.5 sacks, three passes defended and a forced fumble across 16 regular-season games in 2020.
Analysis: Jordan's streak of three straight seasons with double-digit sacks came to an end as he recorded his fewest since 2016. He did, however, extend his streak of seasons with at least 7.5 sacks to nine, and he has yet to miss a game in his career. He'll head into his 11th season just 5.5 sacks away from becoming the 36th player in NFL history to record 100.

Records sack in win
Jordan racked up three tackles (two solo), one sack and a tackle for a loss in the Saints' 52-33 win over the Vikings on Friday.
Analysis: Jordan is up to 7.5 sacks on the season, a far cry from the 13.5 he averaged across his previous three seasons. It's been a down year for the six-time Pro Bowler, as New Orleans has gotten more help on the defensive side of the ball. Jordan will face Carolina in Week 17.

Won't face suspension
Jordan won't be suspended after being ejected from Sunday's 32-29 loss to the Chiefs, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Jordan was ejected for throwing a punch, and he's expected to face a fine. However, the veteran defensive end should be on the field for Friday's matchup against the Vikings. That news is especially encouraging because position mate Trey Hendrickson's (stinger) status is uncertain. Through 14 games, Jordan has registered 47 tackles, 6.5 sacks and a pass breakup.

Tacks on another sack
Jordan made two solo tackles and a sack in Sunday's 31-3 win over the Broncos.
Analysis: Coming off a career-high 15.5 sacks in 2019, Jordan has badly regressed this season with just 6.5 sacks through 11 games. However, he's picked up the pace of late, taking down the quarterback five times in the past five contests. Jordan stands a good chance of keep it rolling in Week 13, as Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has been sacked on 6.2 percent of dropbacks.

Three sacks in comfortable victory
Jordan racked up four tackles (all solo), including three sacks, in the Saints' 24-9 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Analysis: Entering the game with just 2.5 sacks to his credit, Jordan more than doubled his season total with this strong showing. Matt Ryan was taken down eight times in this one, as the Saints' defensive front wreaked havoc all afternoon. Jordan will try to keep the momentum going in Week 12 against Denver.

Ready to face Falcons
Jordan (back) does not have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Analysis: Jordan had his practice reps managed this week while nursing a back injury, but he's set to suit up versus Atlanta. The veteran pass rusher recorded double-digit sacks each of the past three years, but he's notched only 2.5 sacks through nine games this season. He'll look to boost those numbers by taking down Matt Ryan on Sunday.

Practices in limited fashion
Jordan (back) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Analysis: Jordan wasn't able to practice in any capacity Wednesday, but he's now upgraded to limited activity. The veteran defensive end hasn't yet missed any time this season, and he should have at least a fair shot at suiting up Week 11 as long as he can keep practicing in at least limited fashion.

Battling back injury
Jordan (back) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: Jordan produced three tackles while playing 86 percent of the snaps on defense in last week's win over the 49ers, but he's dealing with a back injury to start Week 11. The 2011 first-round pick has never missed a game in his NFL career, so if he's able to practice by the end of the week, he should have a good chance to play Sunday against the Falcons.

Gets to quarterback in win
Jordan racked up three tackles (two solo), one sack and a tackle for a loss in the Saints' 26-23 OT win over the Bears on Sunday.
Analysis: Jordan's sack was encouraging, but his season as a whole has been largely disappointing. After piling up three consecutive double-digit sack seasons, Jordan has just 2.5 heading into a Week 9 date with Tampa Bay.

Leads team in tackles
Jordan compiled 10 tackles (five solo), three tackles for a loss and half a sack in Monday night's 30-27 overtime win against the Chargers.
Analysis: Jordan led the team in tackles Monday, and he has now recorded at least half a sack in consecutive games. After a slow start to the season, Jordan has positive momentum heading into the Saints' Week 6 bye.

First sack of 2020
Jordan finished with four tackles (three solo), one sack and a tackle for a loss in the Saints' 35-29 win over the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: Jordan recorded his first sack of the season in an encouraging showing Sunday. After recording at least 12.0 sacks in each of the last three seasons, he has only one through four games in 2020. He'll look to add to that total next week against the Chargers.

Good to go Sunday
Jordan (core) wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report and will play in Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2011, Jordan hasn't missed a game, and that won't change to start the 2020 season, as he's back to full health following February core-muscle surgery. Heading into his age-31 season, Jordan remains one of the most consistent defensive ends in the league with three straight seasons of 12 or more sacks, and he's produced at least 45 tackles in every season since his rookie year.

Recovering from core muscle surgery
Jordan underwent core muscle surgery Feb. 4 but is expected to be fully healthy for training camp, Michael Silver of NFL.com reports.
Analysis: The veteran defensive end apparently suffered the injury Dec. 8 against the 49ers and played the rest of the season with an adductor muscle that was separated from the bone, so he underwent surgery shortly after the Super Bowl. Jordan finished last season with 53 tackles (37 solo), 15.5 sacks and one fumble recovery, and he's set to begin his 10th season with the Saints in 2020.

Gets to quarterback in loss
Jordan recorded three tackles (all solo), one tackle for a loss and a sack in the Saints' 26-20 overtime loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
Analysis: The veteran defensive end finished the 2019 season with at least one sack in 11 games, including the regular season and playoffs. His career-high 15.5 sacks earned him a Pro-Bowl nod, and he'll look to build on that monstrous season in 2020. Jordan is under contract with New Orleans for the next four years.

Career-high 15.5 sacks on season
Jordan finished with one solo tackle, one tackle for a loss and a sack in the Saints' 42-10 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Analysis: Jordan ends the 2019 season with a career-high 15.5 sacks. That number is good for third in the NFL and marks the third straight season Jordan has racked up double-digit sacks. In that span, he's accumulated 40.5, earning the distinction as one of the league's premier pass-rushers.

Records sack in win
Jordan recorded four tackles (two solo), one tackle for a loss and a sack in the Saints' 38-28 win over the Titans on Sunday.
Analysis: It was an encouraging night for Jordan, who recorded his first sack in three games. His career-best total continues to grow, and he sits at 14.5 headed into a Week 17 tilt with Carolina. The matchup is certainly exploitable, and Jordan will look to carry momentum into that contest.

Quiet night Monday
Jordan recorded two tackles (one solo) in Monday's 34-7 win over the Colts.
Analysis: Jordan was dealing with an abdomen injury for most of last week but ultimately suited up. Monday's game became a blowout in a hurry, and Jordan subsequently only needed to play 52 percent of the Saints' defensive snaps, limiting his production. He will look to get healthy and make an impact against the Titans in Week 16.

Cleared for MNF
Jordan (abdomen) won't carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Colts, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Jordan worked as a limited participant during the practice week, but he's ready to rock for the prime-time matchup. The 30-year-old brings an explosive pass rush to the table, as he's racked up a career-high 13.5 sacks, good for third in the league.

Works as limited participant
Jordan (abdomen) practiced as a limited participant Friday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Analysis: Jordan was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, so he appears to be trending in the right direction for Week 15. The 30-year-old may still need to practice fully Friday to avoid an injury designation, but he appears on track to play Monday versus the Colts.

Not able to practice Thursday
Jordan (abdomen) did not practice Thursday, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.

Stifled by San Fran
Jordan had two tackles (one solo) during Sunday's 48-46 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Jordan was coming off a four-sack performance in Atlanta and played all but three defensive snaps, but San Francisco held him in check all afternoon. The 30-year-old has 46 tackles (33 solo), 13.5 sacks and one recovered fumble in 13 games.

Dominates with four sacks
Jordan recorded six tackles (five solo), including four sacks and four tackles for loss, in the Saints' 26-18 win over the Falcons on Thursday.
Analysis: Jordan dominated in Thursday's win, getting to Matt Ryan four times on a night the Saints' defense recorded nine sacks. With this performance, Jordan is now up to an NFL-leading 13.5 sacks on the season -- a new career high. With four games left on the season, the talented defensive end has a good chance to add to his healthy sack total.

Records 1.5 sacks in win
Jordan recorded three tackles (one solo), 1.5 sacks and a tackle for a loss in the Saints' 34-17 blowout victory over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Jordan bounced back in this one after failing to record a sack in Week 11 and finishing with only two tackles in that contest. He's up to 9.5 sacks on the season, and the Saints have two favorable matchups over the next two weeks in Carolina and Atlanta, where the veteran will look to add to his team-leading sack total.

Sack streak snapped at four games
Jordan finished with two tackles (two solo) in the Saints' 26-9 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.
Analysis: Jordan's two-tackle afternoon ended a four-game streak of his recording at least one sack, dating back to Week 5. Despite the disappointing game, Jordan remains the Saints' most elite pass rusher, who's still on pace for 14.0 sacks this season. He'll look to get back on track against division rival Tampa Bay in an exploitable Week 11 matchup.
