Resting for season finale
Addison (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Analysis: Addison will rest because the Bills have locked up home-field advantage for the first round of the playoffs. The 33-year-old defensive end posted 30 tackles (21 solo), five solo and four pass breakups over 15 regular-season games. With Jerry Hughes also scratched, Trent Murphy and A.J. Epenesa are set to start at defensive end.

Active in Week 4
Addison (knee) is active for Sunday's Week 4 tilt against the Raiders.
Analysis: The veteran defensive end finished the week with a missed Friday practice, so he appeared to be a true 50/50 proposition coming into the weekend. However, Addison will apparently be available in his usual role as a rotational defensive end behind Jerry Hughes as the Bills look to slow down a short-handed Raiders offense.

Question mark for Week 4
Addison (knee) did not practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Las Vegas.
Analysis: This must be something that cropped up during the week for the veteran, as he played a full game in Week 3 and practiced Wednesday and Thursday. Expect Addison -- who has two sacks so far in his first season as a Bill -- to be a game-time decision for Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET start.

Disruptive in divisional win
Addison made three tackles -- two for a loss -- and a sack in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Jets.
Analysis: The Jets threw early and often in Week 1, and with Matt Milano (hamstring) leaving the game early, Addison was deployed on 35 of 56 defensive snaps (62 percent), with several of those coming as a linebacker. He was a nuisance for the Jets' offensive line, and if Milano's forced to miss any time, Addison could line up as a linebacker more often in Week 2 against the Dolphins.

Joining Buffalo
Addison agreed to terms on a three-year contract with the Bills on Monday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The 32-year-old had 34 tackles (20 solo), 9.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 16 games in 2019, and he's recorded at least nine sacks in each of the past four seasons. Addison figures to fill the void in Buffalo's pass rush left by the departure of Shaq Lawson, who is signing with the Dolphins.

Ready to test market
Addison plans to test the free-agent market, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Addison has led the Panthers in sacks for four straight seasons, and while it's still possible that he could re-sign with the team, it looks as though he'll at least explore what sort of a return he commands when free agency begins March 18. Entering his age-33 season, Addison boasts a track record of both consistent production and health. He's played at least 14 regular-season games in seven consecutive campaigns.

Leads Panthers in sacks again
Addison finished the 2019 season with 34 tackles (20 solo), 9.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 15 games played.
Analysis: Addison has now led Carolina in sacks for four straight seasons, totaling 39 over that span. The veteran has also caused a couple fumbles in each of those seasons, giving him nice value as he now becomes an unrestricted free agent. Although he'll be 33 years old next season, Addison hasn't registered fewer than nine sacks since 2015 and has missed just three games over that span.

Held to one tackle in loss
Addison made one solo tackle during Sunday's 38-6 loss to the Colts.
Analysis: Addison has now been held to just one tackle in two consecutive contests. The veteran linebacker is a sack-dependent fantasy option in IDP formats, and he's slated for a tough matchup against the Saints in Week 17.

Ready for Week 16
Addison (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Indianapolis, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Addison began the week not practicing but was able to progress to full participation Friday to avoid an injury designation. The 32-year-old leads the Panthers with 9.5 sacks and will look to get back in the sack column against the Colts.

Sits out Wednesday's practice
Addison (shoulder) didn't participate at Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: Addison was dealing with a chest injury entering Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, but he played a typical 72 percent of defensive snaps and picked up the shoulder injury. The 32-year-old's practice participation Thursday and Friday will offer additional clarity to his Week 16 availability.

Cleared to play Sunday
Addison (chest) is active for Sunday's contest against the Seahawks.
Analysis: Addison was initially considered questionable for Sunday's tilt against Seattle, but the starting linebacker is set to suit up. The 32-year-old possesses limited upside in IDP formats, having accumulated 9.5 sacks across 12 contests.

Trending in right direction
Interim coach Perry Fewell said Friday that he's "very optimistic" Addison (chest) will suit up against the Seahawks on Sunday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Addison is officially considered questionable for Week 15, but he appears on track to suit up versus Seattle. The veteran linebacker will likely draw his usual start on the weak side, though Brian Burns would stand to see increased usage if Addison is limited in any capacity.

No practice Wednesday
Addison is not practicing Wednesday due to a chest injury, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Addison suffered a hit to the chest during Week 14's loss to the Falcons. Interim coach Perry Fewell said Wednesday that the Panthers are taking a cautious approach to Addison's recovery, per Steve Reed of the Associated Press, so the 32-year-old's chances of suiting up against Seattle appear up in the air. If Addison was forced to miss any time, Brian Burns would likely draw increased snaps on the weak side in Carolina's linebacker corps.

Notches three tackles
Addison posted three tackles (one solo) in Sunday's 40-20 loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: Addison took a backseat to Luke Kuechly and Shaq Thompson, who recorded 11 and 10 tackles, respectively. That is expected out of a linebacker who primarily plays on the weak side, but Addison has still been able to unearth occasional IDP value with 9.5 sacks through 12 games.

Good to play Sunday
Addison (groin) is active for Sunday's game in Atlanta.
Analysis: Addison was added to the injury report Friday as a limited participant with the groin issue, but it won't impact his availability for Week 14. The 32-year-old will look add to his team-leading total of 9.5 sacks versus the Falcons' porous pass protection.

Busy in defeat
Addison had seven tackles (four solo) and 1.5 sacks in Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Redskins.
Analysis: Addison tied for fourth on Carolina in stops, posting a season high in the process. In addition to contributing toward a couple of sacks, bringing his tally to 9.5 this year, Addison also led the Panthers with three quarterback hits, corroborating his high level of involvement Sunday.

Returns to practice
Addison (personal) returned to practice and is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Packers.
Analysis: Addison sat out of this past Sunday's game against the Titans for personal reasons. He should retake his starting weakside linebacker role going forward. The veteran has 15 tackles (nine solo) and 6.5 sacks through seven games.

Downgraded to out
The Panthers have downgraded Addison (personal) to out for Sunday's tilt against the Titans, Max Henson of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Addison has been away from the team this week following his brother's death. His absence in Week 9 should allow rookie Brian Burns to take on an increased role at outside linebacker.

Draws questionable tag
Addison (personal) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
