Plays through leg fracture
Beasley played through a fractured fibula during the playoffs, Michael Giardi of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The Bills listed Beasley with a knee injury from Week 17 through the AFC Championship Game, never revealing any details. The slot receiver missed only one game (the regular-season finale) but said the injury bothered him during the first two rounds of the playoffs. Beasley felt better during the AFCCG loss to Kansas City, and he expects to have a normal offseason after catching seven passes in his final appearance of the campaign. The 31-year-old should be safe in Buffalo for the third season…read more

Leads team in receiving
Beasley caught seven of nine targets for 88 yards in Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
Analysis: Beasley finished as the Bills' leading receiver on a night where the usually dominant duo of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs were held in check. The slot specialist took another step forward in his second season with Buffalo, setting new career bests in receptions (82) and yardage (967) while hitting pay dirt four times across 15 contests during the regular season. Even with consistent improvements, the veteran receiver was only a must-roster player in PPR formats, offering a high floor and…read more

Cleared for Sunday's game
Beasley (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Kansas City, Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Beasley has been dealing with the same knee injury since late December, missing Week 17 before catching seven passes for only 57 yards in two playoff games. A return to full participation Friday suggests he'll be fine for his usual role, and he could even see a few extra snaps if No. 4 receiver Gabriel Davis (questionable - ankle) isn't able to play.

Added to injury report
Beasley (knee) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
Analysis: The Wednesday practice report was Buffalo's first one without Beasley's name on it since Week 16, but it turns out he's still dealing with the same knee injury. His Friday practice status bears watching, as a mid-week downgrade isn't ideal. Isaiah McKenzie took most of the slot snaps when Beasley missed Week 17, which was also the first 100-yard game of Gabriel Davis' career. Davis is now dealing with an ankle injury, missing practice Wednesday and Thursday.

Logs no catches in divisional round
Beasley did not haul in either of his targets during Saturday's 17-3 divisional-round win against the Ravens.
Analysis: Beasley was limited throughout the practice week because of a knee injury, but he was able to suit up against Baltimore to remain with just one game absence on the season. Buffalo didn't lean on the veteran wideout, instead distributing 22 of 30 WR targets to Stefon Diggs and John Brown. A dud against the Ravens marks Beasley's first no-catch performance of the 2020 campaign, though it's notable he was capable of pushing through the same knee issue en route to seven catches and 57 yards in the…read more

Limited but good for Saturday
Beasley (knee) practiced on a limited basis for the third straight time Thursday but does not have an injury designation for Saturday's game against the Ravens, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Analysis: The valuable slot receiver is clearly playing below 100 percent, but it's also pretty much a certainty that he'll be out there Saturday for the primetime Saturday night matchup.

Limited again Wednesday
Beasley (knee) was listed as a limited participant for Wednesday's practice session.
Analysis: The Bills are taking things slowly with their top slot receiver while he manages the knee issue, and it wouldn't be surprising if he was limited again Thursday in the final practice session of the week. Beasley seems headed for a questionable designation for the divisional-round game versus the Ravens, but he should be ready to go after previously playing through the injury in last week's wild-card win over the Colts.

Limited to open practice week
Beasley was listed as a limited participant Tuesday due to a knee injury.
Analysis: The knee issue is what had Beasley as a major question mark entering Saturday's wild-card win over the Colts, yet he gutted it out and caught seven balls in the victory. Beasley didn't practice at all until late in the week last week, so this news bodes well for the team, even though the tough receiver is obviously playing banged up, and it's reportedly more than just the knee issue.

Seven catches in playoff win
Beasley (knee) caught all seven of his targets for 57 yards in Saturday's 27-24 wild-card round win over the Colts.
Analysis: Beasley was a game-time decision but gutted it out and played well, leading the team in catches. The veteran slot receiver will look to heal up further by next week's AFC divisional round game, and he should continue to serve as a security blanket for quarterback Josh Allen in the pass-heavy Bills offense.

Returning to action Saturday
Beasley (knee) is active for Saturday's game against the Colts.
Analysis: Beasley emerged from Week 16 with a knee injury that ultimately kept him sidelined in the regular-season finale. As the Bills prepared for the wild-card round, he didn't practice until Thursday, when he logged a limited session. That appearance was enough for Beasley to join Stefon Diggs (oblique) on the active roster Saturday as Buffalo takes on the Colts' 20th-ranked pass defense (241.6 yards per game).

Likely set to play
Beasley (knee) is expected to play in Saturday's wild-card game against the Colts, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Both Beasley and Stefon Diggs (oblique) were listed as questionable following the team's final injury report, but it seems as if the Bills will have their full complement of weapons available ahead of the pivotal playoff match. Expect to see the team confirm the wide receiver's availability closer to the 1:05 p.m. ET kickoff.

Questionable for Saturday's game
Beasley (knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday's wild-card matchup with the Colts.
Analysis: Beasley made his first appearance on the practice field in two weeks Thursday, logging a limited session. There's a cloud hanging over his head regarding his availability this weekend, which also can be said for Stefon Diggs (oblique). The status of both will be confirmed about 90 minutes before Saturday's 1:05 p.m. ET kickoff.

Beasley (knee) was spotted at practice Thursday, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
Analysis: As was Stefon Diggs (oblique), with the duo's status for Wild-Card Weekend likely to be solidified later Thursday, when the Bills' injury report for Saturday's game against the Colts is released. Prior to his return to the field Thursday, Beasley had logged consecutive 'DNP' listings.

Still not practicing
Beasley (knee) didn't practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Beasley and Stefon Diggs (oblique) both sat out Wednesday's practice. Though the Bills remain optimistic Diggs will be available Saturday's wild-card matchup against Indianapolis, Beasley's status remains murkier. The veteran slot man hasn't practiced in any capacity since injuring his knee in a Dec. 28 win over the Patriots.

DNP to start week
Beasley (knee) did not participate in Tuesday's walkthrough practice.
Analysis: Coach Sean McDermott called the valuable slot man "week-to-week" in his Monday statements, so Beasley's status for Saturday's playoff opener is in serious jeopardy at this stage, a belief augmented by the team signing several receivers to its practice squad the past few days. If Beasley's knee does start to rally, the fact that the Bills play the opening game of this weekend's six-game playoff slate adds one final challenge, though perhaps that at least will make the decision on whether to use…read more

Still week-to-week
Coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Beasley (knee) is still considered week-to-week, Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: McDermott also said that the Bills will "see what tomorrow brings" with regard to Beasley's health, a hint that his status for Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Colts could come down to how much he's able to do in practice. Gabriel Davis once again would stand to join Stefon Diggs and John Brown in three-receiver sets if Beasley can't suit up this weekend.

The Bills have ruled Beasley (knee) out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Analysis: Beasley wasn't able to practice in any capacity Wednesday through Friday, effectively sealing his fate for the regular-season finale. Fortunately for the Bills, their receiving corps will be fortified by the return of John Brown, who will suit up Sunday after missing the previous five games with an ankle injury followed by a short stint on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Sitting out again Friday
Beasley (knee) won't take part in Friday's practice, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Analysis: The 31-year-old has been unable to practice all week after picking up the knee injury during the Week 16 win over the Patriots, putting his availability in doubt for Sunday's matchup with the Dolphins. The Bills previously labeled Beasley week-to-week, so he seems unlikely to be available for the final game of the regular season. John Brown was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, and he'll likely step back in as Buffalo's No. 2 wide receiver this weekend.

Beasley (knee) didn't practice Thursday.
Analysis: With Beasley more week-to-week than day-to-day at this stage, he could be ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins as soon as Friday. If that ends up being the case, added Week 17 opportunities would be available for some combo of Gabriel Davis, Isaiah McKenzie and Andre Roberts.

Iffy for Week 17
Beasley was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice report due to a knee issue, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Analysis: The Bills are labeling Beasley as week-to-week with the injury, so at this stage, the wideout appears questionable -- at best -- for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Termed 'week-to-week' with leg issue
Coach Sean McDermott called Cole Beasley "week-to-week" with the leg injury he suffered during Monday's 38-9 win at New England, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Analysis: According to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com, Beasley got banged up near the end of the game and made his way to the locker room early, capping him to a season-low 17 receiving yards on three catches and five targets. Because of how McDermott spoke of Beasley, the veteran wide receiver seems in danger of missing Sunday's contest against the Dolphins, but in the end it may be the prudent decision to make for a team with high aspirations this postseason.

Quiet in blowout win
Beasley caught three of five targets for 17 yards in Monday night's 38-9 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Beasley's lowest yardage output of the campaign somehow came on a night when quarterback Josh Allen passed for 320 yards and four touchdowns. Although the veteran had put forth a few duds across an otherwise outstanding campaign, it was still surprising to see Beasley not get in on Monday's runaway win more significantly. He'll aim to bounce back in Week 17 versus the Dolphins.

Builds on career season
Beasley secured eight of 10 targets for 112 yards during Saturday's 48-19 win against the Broncos.
Analysis: Beasley continues to expand upon a career year, posting his fifth 100-yard receiving performance of 2020 after logging just three such performances in 31 appearances between 2018 and 2019. Though the 31-year-old endured a quieter week with five catches for 41 yards and no scores last Sunday night against Pittsburgh, his workload has remained steady with double-digit targets over four of the Bills' past five games. Five catches in big win
Beasley caught five of 10 targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 26-15 win over Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Beasley came back down to earth after a season-high 130 yards and a touchdown against the 49ers last week. Even with the modest output, the veteran slot man is on pace for the first 1,000-yard season of his career. Josh Allen's incredible leap as a passer has certainly helped Beasley's output, as he is a reliable option in PPR formats this year. Paces pass catchers in win
Beasley brought in nine of 11 targets for 130 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 34-24 win over the 49ers on Monday night.
Analysis: The shifty veteran opened the scoring on the night for the Bills with a nifty five-yard touchdown grab early in the second quarter. Despite a temporary exit from the contest in the first half due to a possible head injury, Beasley ended up leading the Bills in receiving yardage while tying fellow wideout Stefon Diggs for the team lead in targets. Throws TD pass to fellow wideout
Beasley secured two of four targets for 25 receiving yards and tossed a 20-yard touchdown to Gabriel Davis on his only pass attempt during Sunday's 27-17 win against the Chargers.
Analysis: Beasley's first two career pass attempts in 2016 and 2018 both went for incompletions, but his third NFL throw helped Buffalo push its advantage to eight points at the 9:44 mark of the second quarter Sunday. The SMU product has offered a lowered fantasy floor since Week 8, managing more than 40 receiving yards just once over his past four games. Analysis: Beasley led the Bills in receiving on the afternoon en route to his third 100-yard performance of the season. The veteran slot receiver heads into Buffalo's bye week with 55 catches, 642 yards and three TDs, putting him on pace for his first career 1,000-yard campaign.

Back-to-back disappointments
Beasley caught all three targets for 39 yards in Buffalo's win over the Seahawks on Sunday.
Analysis: Beasley has posted a few big games this season, but when all the offensive weapons are healthy -- as is the case now -- it's tricky for him to find week-to-week consistency. Stefon Diggs is always going to be the top target monster, but Sunday John Brown and rookie Gabriel Davis both saw more looks than Beasley. No. 11 will have his moments since he's by far the team's best slot receiver, but he's been pushed down the pecking order with the return to health of some other regulars.

Lowest catch total of 2020
Beasley caught both of his targets for 24 yards in Sunday's win over the Patriots.
Analysis: One might think Beasley -- a short-area specialist -- would have been the beneficiary of a rainy, windy day that prevented much deep throwing for either team, but the Bills had the lead most of the game and ended up throwing only 18 times. Beasley certainly has better games in store, and his 41-494-2 line is nothing to sniff at for a No. 3 receiver, though the only sure thing in the Buffalo offense at RB/WR/TE remains Stefon Diggs. Everyone else simply has to pick their spots.

Leading receiver in Week 7 win
Beasley caught 11 of 12 targets for 112 yards in Sunday's 18-10 win over the Jets.
Analysis: Beasley paced the Bills in targets, catches and receiving yards with Stefon Diggs (six catches for 48 yards) held in check and John Brown (knee) sitting out. The 5-foot-8 slot receiver hadn't previously been targeted more than seven times in a game this season, so Beasley will be hard-pressed to match this output against the Patriots in Week 8.

Beasley caught four of six targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 26-17 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: Beasley trailed only Stefon Diggs in all major receiving categories for the Bills, embodying a reliable underneath option for quarterback Josh Allen during a rainy game that curtailed vertical passing. While Beasley did go for a 22-yard gain Monday, his eight-yard touchdown still marked his biggest impact, as it brought Buffalo within one score midway through the fourth quarter. Usual role in Week 1
Beasley caught four of seven targets for 58 yards with no scores in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Jets.
Analysis: This is a classic Beasley stat line, the good news being there was still some volume left over after Stefon Diggs, John Brown and Devin Singletary all got their usual looks in the passing game. The one kicker is that with two highly regarded receivers this season -- Diggs and Brown -- as opposed to just one, Beasley will almost never be the go-to guy unless the Bills find themselves in a situation where the opponent is giving them nothing but underneath passes for more than one drive.

Analysis: Beasley kicked off training camp on the NFI list due to an upper-back issue, but it wasn't serious enough to extend into the practice portion of August activities. The Bills are set to take the field in the coming days, when he'll start to get acclimated with new wideout Stefon Diggs. In any case, Beasley's standing as the slot receiver in the Buffalo offense should ensure a steady floor after he took on a career-high 106 targets last season.

Working through back issue
Beasley was placed on the active/non-football injury list Wednesday due to an upper-back issue, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Analysis: The team's No. 3 wideout should have plenty of time to recover ahead of the team's Week 1 game. He already has the benefit of continuity with the Bills' offense and quarterback Josh Allen, but his situation remains worth monitoring nonetheless. Assuming the issue subsides, the biggest question surrounding Beasley's value will be how much the presence of offseason acquisition Stefon Diggs affects the team's other receivers.

Diggs not a threat?
Quarterback Josh Allen said last week that Beasley's production will be helped and not hurt by the addition of Stefon Diggs this offseason, The Buffalo News reports. "I think this is going to give them an opportunity to have more chances to catch the ball," Allen said on Sirius XM NFL Radio in reference to Beasley and fellow receiver John Brown. "They had career years and everybody talking about the addition of Stefon Diggs will hurt their value. I think it's the other way around ... Cole, on the inside, if you put a nickel on him, he's a tough cover in man-to-man."
Analysis: We're not completely sold on increased production for either Brown or Beasley, as the Bills prefer to maintain a strong running game to go with their top-level defense and there are only so many balls to go around for Diggs, Brown, Beasley, tight end Dawson Knox and running back Devin Singletary. However, Beasley is the clear slot guy and it's likely the other guys will be competing against each other with more frequency than the guy who sticks to short, over-the-middle patterns. Still has top-three role
Beasley, Stefon Diggs and John Brown are expected to serve as the Bills' top three wide receivers in 2020.
Analysis: The Diggs trade is great news for the Buffalo offense but far less promising for Beasley's target volume. The former Cowboy was mostly limited to slot work in three-wide formations early last season, eventually progressing to a role in two-WR sets as he played more than 80 percent of snaps in five of his final six regular-season games. Beasley once again figures to be limited to three-receiver alignments now that Diggs is in the picture, so a reprisal of last year's 106 targets will be tricky…read more

Frustrated after playoff loss
Beasley expressed disappointed about his lack of opportunities during the Bills' 22-19 postseason loss to Houston on Jan. 4, Matt Parrino of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports.
Analysis: Beasley was limited to 64 percent snap share and five targets in a wild-card game that saw Josh Allen throw 46 passes. The slot receiver played more than 80 percent of snaps in five of his final six games during the regular season, only to lose some work to Duke Williams -- 10 targets, 66 percent snap share -- in the playoff loss. Williams dropped a couple passes and was limited to 4.9 yards per target, so he didn't make the best case for himself heading into the offseason. Beasley will turn 31…read more

Out for Week 17
Beasley is among the inactives for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Jets, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Analysis: Buffalo is locked into the No. 5 seed in the AFC and several of the team's veteran starters aren't even suiting up. Get Beasley out of your lineup, and overall, Buffalo seems like one of those teams in a boat you're better off avoiding from a fantasy standpoint this week.

May play only partial game
Beasley and other Bills starters could be rested in the finale against the Jets, The Buffalo News reports.
Analysis: Week 17 is always filled with fantasy landmines, so part of the task at hand for any owner still playing out their league is to figure out which NFL teams are playing to win and which teams are playing to keep guys healthy and fresh for the playoffs. While coach Sean McDermott tipped off that the Bills will probably use some or all of their starters for a portion of Sunday's game, it'd be a big surprise if they went the whole way or even into the second half, as the team cannot change its No. 5…read more

Tops 100 yards
Beasley hauled in seven of his 12 targets for 108 yards in the Bills' Week 16 loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: Beasley was one of only two Bills receivers to record multiple catches and also accounted for seven of the team's 13 receptions in the contest. Though not regularly a part of his production profile, Beasley brought some big-play ability as well, gaining more than 10 yards on five of his touches. Overall, Beasley has had a productive first season in Buffalo and is nine receptions short of a new career high. However, he may not play a full complement of snaps in the team's Week 17 matchup against…read more

Limited to one catch
Beasley caught one of six targets for six yards in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Steelers.
Analysis: After three straight weeks with a touchdown, Beasley struggled Sunday, finishing with a season-low one catch. The rest of the Bills' passing offense struggled as well against a tough Pittsburgh defense. Beasley will look to bounce back against the Patriots in Week 16.

Scores for third straight game
Beasley caught four of seven targets for 29 yards and a touchdown, plus a two-point conversion, during Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: Beasley finished third on the team in targets, and although he finished second in receptions, his mark of 7.3 yards per catch was rather unimpressive. He did manage to haul in a three-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, however, giving him three scores in his last three games. Beasley is up to six trips to the end zone on the season and will look to add to his numbers next Sunday against the Steelers.

Revenge game against Cowboys
Beasley caught six of seven targets for a season-high 110 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 26-15 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: The former Cowboys slot receiver had plenty of experience playing in Dallas on Thanksgiving, and his comfort level with the national stage showed as he wound up leading both teams in receiving yards on the day. Beasley's 110 yards was only two shy of his career best, set in 2015, and he's emerged as one of Josh Allen's most trusted options since Buffalo's Week 6 bye, finding the end zone in five of the last seven games.

Leads way for pass offense
Beasley finished Sunday's 20-3 win over Denver having caught six of nine passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Analysis: Beasley led the Bills across receiving categories Sunday as Denver, for the most part, attempted to take away John Brown. Beasley stepped up to the challenge, gaining 30-yards on a catch-and-run crosser to set up a second-quarter field goal and then splitting the seam during the first drive of the second half to reel in an 18-yard touchdown. Beasley is finding a groove in Buffalo with at least four catches in each of his last three games and four touchdowns in his last six outings. Thursday…read more

Snags four passes in win
Beasley caught all four of his targets for 38 total yards during Sunday's 37-20 win over Miami.
Analysis: Beasley's biggest play came early in the third quarter in which he beat his man to the inside from the slot and went for a 15-yard gain to set up a Buffalo touchdown. The veteran receiver had a nice three-game scoring streak in Weeks 7 through 9, but he has not otherwise found the end zone this season and has topped 50 total yards just thrice. He remains at his best as a high-volume underneath target. Next up is Denver's top-five-rated pass defense.

Notches 74 receiving yards
Beasley caught four of six targets for 74 yards during Sunday's 19-16 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Beasley finished second on the team in catches and receiving yards in this one while ranking third in targets. He generated the team's longest play from scrimmage on the day and finished with an impressive average of 18.5 yards per target. Beasley's three-game touchdown streak came to an end, but he remains a focal point of the passing game and will look to return to the end zone in next Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Another score
Beasley caught both of his targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 24-9 win over Washington.
Analysis: The good news is that the little guy has now scored in three straight games. The flip side is that for some reason he only played 45 percent of the offensive snaps, an odd season low considering it was a close game for much of the afternoon and Beasley was unhurt. We'll chalk it up to the game plan for now, though his playing time and his production outside the touchdown string merit watching. Beasley hasn't caught more than three balls in any of the last four games, and he's only eclipsed…read more
