Posts five tackles
Poyer had five solo tackles during Monday's win over the Patriots.
Analysis: The 29-year-old played a season-low 74 percent of the defensive snaps as he exited to be evaluated for a head injury, but he was able to retake the field. Poyer has enjoyed a strong 2020 campaign with 122 tackles (90 solo), two sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles through 15 games.

Keeps churning out tackles
Poyer posted 10 tackles (seven solo), a pass breakup and an interception in Sunday's 44-34 win over the Seahawks.
Analysis: With a third double-digit tackling performance in four weeks, Poyer now ranks seventh in the league with 79 total tackles and second with 60 solo tackles. The 29-year-old safety is on track to shatter last year's career high of 107 stops, and his consistent floor makes him a premiere IDP asset.

Records second sack of 2020
Poyer posted six tackles (four solo), a sack and a pass breakup in Sunday's 18-10 win over the Jets.
Analysis: The veteran safety is already up to two sacks on the season, a career high, and he's piled up 58 stops (42 solo) through seven games, putting him on pace for a whopping 138 stops (96 solo). That would be quite the achievement for the 29-year-old, and his every-snap workload puts him in a good position to accomplish the feat.

Reaches double-digit tackles
Poyer had 10 tackles (nine solo) during Monday's 26-17 loss to Kansas City.
Analysis: The 29-year-old played every defensive snap again Monday and has missed only two snaps through six games. Poyer has been a solid IDP contributor with 52 total tackles and one sack this season.

Big tackle total
Poyer posted 14 tackles during Sunday's win over the Rams.
Analysis: The Los Angeles offense really got going in the second half and Poyer ended up getting in on much of the action. The eighth-year safety remains a top IDP among defensive backs, with 26 tackles, 1.0 sacks and a forced fumble through three games. Poyer also almost never leaves the field, playing 95 percent or more of the defensive snaps in every game since the start of last season, save for a Week 17 finale against the Jets when the Bills were resting starters.

Lands extension
Poyer has signed a two-year extension with the Bills that will keep him with the team through 2022, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: In his third season with the Bills in 2019, Poyer racked up a career-high 107 tackles to go along with two picks and three forced fumbles, making him a quality IDP option while serving as the team's starting strong safety. Meanwhile, Micah Hyde -- the squad's top free safety -- is still under contract with Buffalo through the 2021 season.

Career-best production
Poyer ranked second on the Bills in tackles in 2019 with a career-high 107 stops, while also adding one sack, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
Analysis: If you're looking for IDP consistency, Poyer is your man, as he's posted 95-plus tackles in all three of his seasons as a Bill, ranking in the top 10 among safeties each time while only missing one game across those three campaigns. With most of the defense returning for 2020, namely his backcourt mate Micah Hyde, Poyer should once again be way up there by the end of the next campaign. The veteran finished seventh among safeties in standard IDP scoring in 2019.

Interception and fumble recovery
Poyer tallied three tackles (two solo), an interception and a fumble recovery in Sunday's 17-10 victory over the Steelers.
Analysis: Poyer finished the contest with lower tackle totals than normal, but he made an impact in other areas of the game with a pick -- one of four on the night for the Bills -- and a fumble recovery. He played every defensive snap for Buffalo and should continue to have a presence in the box score.

Analysis: Poyer once again played every defensive snap and reached double-digit tackles for the second time this season.
