Rebounds with huge game
Thomas brought in 11 of 15 targets for 134 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' 48-46 loss to the 49ers on Sunday.
Analysis: After a season-low receiving total last week, Thomas bounced back in a huge way with his massive stat line. His 11 receptions bring his total to a league-leading 121 on the season, and he'll have three more games to eclipse Marvin Harrison's single-season record of 143. Thomas' 134 yards also brought him to 1,424 on the season, already surpassing his career-high 1,405 set in 2018. Thomas is a locked-and-loaded WR1 no matter the opponent, and his career year should continue Week 15, as he takes…read more

Season-low receiving total
Thomas brought in six of eight targets for 48 yards in the Saints' 26-18 win over the Falcons on Thursday.
Analysis: Thomas paced the Saints in receptions and tied for the team lead in targets, though his output was a bit light by his standards. The fourth-year receiver entered Thursday's contest having averaged 113 receiving yards on just over nine receptions per contest this season, but he came up with his lowest receiving total of the year. Drew Brees' uncharacteristic 184-yard night played a large part in Thomas' dud, and the All Pro receiver will try to bounce back from this outlier next week against San…read more

Historically prolific year persists
Thomas corralled 10 of 11 targets for 101 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 34-31 win against Carolina.
Analysis: Coming into Week 12, Thomas had accounted for more receptions than the Eagles' (93) and Ravens' (74) entire wide receiver corps, and by the conclusion of the first quarter against the Panthers, he had already hauled in six passes to reach the century mark for the season. With 104 grabs through 11 games thus far in 2019, Thomas finds himself on pace to break Marvin Harrison's single-season receptions record (143) by eight. It's a delectable matchup forthcoming for Thomas on Thanksgiving night,…read more

Eclipses century mark in Week 11
Thomas secured eight of 11 targets for 114 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' 34-17 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Thomas was in the familiar position of pacing the team in receiving yardage and targets, while his 16-yard scoring grab to close out the first quarter was his fifth of the season overall. The Pro Bowl wideout has four consecutive 100-yard efforts, and he's now recorded at least eight grabs in seven straight contests. Thomas will look to continue building on his stellar numbers versus the Panthers in a Week 12 divisional matchup.

Another monster output in Week 10
Thomas corralled 13 of 14 targets for 152 receiving yards during Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: The 26-year-old wideout has been one of the league's most consistently-dominant fantasy assets through 10 weeks of the 2019 season, racking up at least five catches in every single game and eclipsing 85 receiving yards in eight of nine. Thomas' hefty workload indicates that he will continue to be a force down the stretch, as he has now averaged 12.2 targets per game since Week 5, with no fewer than seven balls thrown his way in any contest this year. Week 11 presents an extremely favorable…read more

Reignites connection with Brees
Thomas secured all 11 of his targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' 31-9 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. He also lost nine yards on his sole rush.
Analysis: Thomas paced the Saints in receptions and receiving yards on the afternoon, as he helped make Drew Brees' return to action from a thumb injury a highly successful one. The star receiver now has eclipsed 100 yards receiving in three of the past four games, and his double-digit target streak stands at four contests. With Brees back in the fold and clearly back to full health, the 26-year-old's upside is through the roof moving forward.

Makes nine catches vs. Bears
Thomas caught nine of 11 targets for 131 yards during Sunday's 36-25 win over the Bears.
Analysis: Despite a tough road matchup against a strong Chicago defense, Thomas caught 82 percent of his targets while averaging a healthy 14.6 yards per catch. His growing rapport with Teddy Bridgewater was perhaps best displayed on a beautiful 34-yard connection that could have gone for a longer touchdown if he wasn't dubiously ruled down by contact. Perhaps the only complaint from his fantasy owners would be the lack of a trip to the end zone for a second consecutive week, but he could easily put that…read more

Solid showing in win
Thomas secured eight of 12 targets for 89 yards in the Saints' 13-6 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Analysis: Thomas wasn't anywhere near as prolific as he'd been at the expense of the Buccaneers in Week 5, but he was able to generate a solid fantasy afternoon overall versus a Jaguars defense missing Jalen Ramsey (back) for a third consecutive contest. Thomas once again unsurprisingly paced the Saints in targets and now has logged 25 looks over the last two games alone. The Pro Bowl receiver will look to make his mark once again versus the tough Bears defense Week 7.

No coverage from Ramsey
Thomas will not have to face coverage from Jalen Ramsey (back) in Sunday's Week 6 tilt against the Jaguars with the star cornerback declared inactive for the contest.
Analysis: Thomas is coming off an 11-catch, 182-yard, two-touchdown trampling of the Buccaneers in Week 5, and with Ramsey inactive, he theoretically will have an easier path to strong production once again Sunday. The Jaguars have been inconsistent in the secondary in Ramsey's absence, and Thomas' obvious rapport with Teddy Bridgewater could certainly come into play again Week 6.

Signature effort in division win
Thomas secured 11 of 13 targets for 182 yards and two touchdowns in the Saints' 31-24 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: The spectacular stat line was one befitting of a vintage Thomas game with Drew Brees (thumb) under center, but the Pro Bowl receiver actually worked in concert with Teddy Bridgewater in eviscerating the Buccaneers defense all afternoon. The receptions, receiving yardage and touchdowns were all season highs for Thomas, while his target tally equaled a high-water mark. With a nine-catch, 95-yard performance against the Cowboys in Week 4 having preceded this performance, it's clear Thomas' fantasy…read more

Team-high 95 yards
Thomas caught all nine of his targets for 95 yards in Sunday's 12-10 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Thomas' 95 yards led all positions players on either side of the ball in a low-scoring affair. The forced switch from Drew Brees (thumb) to Teddy Bridgewater hasn't slowed the star wideout down too much. He is seeing five less targets per game, but he has 20.9 standard fantasy points in the two games started by Bridgewater compared to 21.2 in the two games that Brees started. Thomas is talented enough to possess WR1 upside regardless of situation, and in Week 5 he'll have the benefit of facing…read more

Hauls in touchdown
Thomas caught five of seven targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against Seattle.
Analysis: Thomas was the second-most targeted receiver behind Alvin Kamara, creating some concern about his production with Teddy Bridgewater under center. On the other hand, he hauled in five of his seven targets and also found the end zone -- a continuation of his heralded efficiency. All told, some of Thomas' ceiling appears to be taken away by the absence of Drew Brees (thumb), but he remains a key part of an offense that Bridgewater showed the ability to run competently. Second straight 10-catch tally
Thomas brought in 10 of 13 targets for 89 yards in the Saints' 27-9 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
Analysis: Thomas still put together a signature performance in terms of his overall volume despite Drew Brees' first-quarter exit with a hand injury, as he paced the Saints in receptions, receiving yardage and targets on the afternoon. Thomas has matching 10-catch, 13-target games to open the campaign, but Brees' prognosis will be one for Thomas' fantasy managers to keep a close eye on over the next several days. Catches 10 passes versus Texans
Thomas caught 10 of 13 targets for 123 yards in Monday night's 30-28 win over the Texans.
Analysis: Thomas started the season with his usual excellence, posting game highs in receptions and yards through the air. Despite fellow wideout Ted Ginn also surpassing 100 yards, Thomas' target count still led the Saints, as is normally the case. A model of consistent production, Thomas' performance Monday is somehow almost the standard he's set for himself, but he'll still hope to add a touchdown to his tally in Week 2's NFC Championship rematch against the Rams.

Terrific in preseason cameo
Thomas caught both of his targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 28-13 preseason win over the Jets.
Analysis: Thomas only played the opening drive, but he dominated while he was out there, pulling down a contested 20-yard catch before capping the possession with a 19-yard touchdown. With a new contract in hand, the Saints' clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver should have no problem breaking the 1,000-yard mark for the fourth consecutive season to open his career, and a healthy Thomas should challenge last season's career-best totals of 1,405 yards and nine touchdowns.

Not in line to play Sunday
Though he was spotted on the field, Thomas was not in uniform prior to Sunday's preseason game against the Chargers, Herbie Teope of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Analysis: It remains to be seen if New Orleans will turn Thomas loose next week against the Jets in the squad's third preseason tilt, but the Saints aren't inclined to expose their top wideout -- fresh off a lucrative contract extension -- to unnecessary contact this weekend.

Gets $100 million extension
Thomas agreed to terms Wednesday with the Saints on a five-year contract extension worth up to $100 million, league sources tell Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Analysis: Thomas didn't report for the start of training camp last week while seeking a new deal and didn't have to wait long to receive a long-term contract that keeps him in New Orleans through 2024. The 2018 first-team All-Pro will earn $1.15 million in the final year of his rookie deal before the extension goes into effect in 2020. At that time, he'll become the NFL's highest-paid wideout, with his lavish deal including $19.25 million annually and $61 million guaranteed. Thomas' extension could set…read more

Holding out for contract
Thomas isn't reporting for the start of training camp, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Entering the fourth and final season of his rookie contract, Thomas reportedly is seeking a pact that will put him first among all wide receivers in average annual value. A report from June suggested the two sides were far apart on compensation, with the 26-year-old seeking $22 million per season and the Saints thinking more along the lines of $18 million.

Far apart in contract talks
Thomas and the Saints are still far apart in extension negotiations, Jeff Duncan of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Analysis: Thomas reportedly wants $22 million per season, while the Saints are angling for around $18 million, which would put him close to Odell Beckham Jr. and a little ahead of Antonio Brown. The 25-year-old wideout currently is traveling in Europe, and he hasn't made any noise about a potential holdout as he prepares for the final season of his rookie contract. Signs with new agent
Thomas has signed with a new agent from the same agency, now working with Andrew Kessler of Athletes First, Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Analysis: Thomas has averaged 107 catches for 1,262 yards and 7.7 TDs in three pro seasons, and his status as a second-round pick means the Saints don't have the ability to exercise a fifth-year option on his rookie contract. The soon-to-be 26-year-old thus figures to sign a massive extension at some point this offseason, with a franchise tag looming in 2020 if no agreement comes into place. Limited in NFC title loss
Thomas brought in four of his seven targets for 36 yards during the Saints' 26-23 overtime loss to the Rams in Sunday's NFC Championship Game.
Analysis: In the regular-season meeting with the Rams, Thomas trampled Los Angeles to the tune of 12 receptions for 211 yards. It was a drastically different story Sunday, however, as the presence of Aqib Talib for the postseason matchup and what appeared to be a different defensive game plan overall completely changed the dynamic. Explodes for spectacular line
Thomas brought in 12 of 16 targets for a franchise-playoff-record 171 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' 20-14 divisional-round playoff win over the Eagles on Sunday.
Analysis: Thomas was as masterful in Sunday's postseason tilt as he was during a career-best regular campaign that he finished with an eye-popping 125-1,405-9 line. The third-year pro made key reception after key reception throughout the afternoon, helping the Saints climb out of an early 14-0 hole to forge a tenuous 20-14 lead late in the fourth quarter. May only see light work
Thomas is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers but may not take on his usual snap load, John DeShazier of the Saints' official site reports.
Analysis: The Saints have already made quarterback Drew Brees and running back Alvin Kamara inactive for a mostly meaningless regular-season finale, and it's expected that other core skill-position players like Thomas and Mark Ingram will see only light action, if any. With New Orleans having already sewn up the NFC's No. 1 seed in the postseason, there's little upside to playing Thomas extensively and exposing him to injury in Week 17. Hits century mark, notches TD
Thomas corralled 11 of 13 targets, compiling 109 receiving yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 31-28 win against the Steelers.
Analysis: Prior to Sunday's breakout performance, Thomas hadn't been quite the downfield threat he was during the first half of the regular season -- failing to exceed 100 yards and averaging 64.5 YPG between Weeks 10 and 15, compared to three 100-yard outings and 110 YPG over the first eight games of the year. Held under 50 yards
Thomas caught seven of nine targets for 49 yards in Monday night's 12-9 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: Thomas tied Alvin Kamara for New Orleans' team lead in receptions and looks through the air. Although another seven catches proved helpful, Thomas was held under 50 yards for the third time in his last four games. That stretch has coincided with an overall dip in the Saints' passing potency, as Drew Brees hasn't topped 205 yards since Week 11, which is also the last time Thomas scored a touchdown. Thomas brought in 11 of his 13 targets for 98 yards in the Saints' 28-14 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Thomas was back to playing the alpha dog of the Saints passing attack, posting a double-digit catch total for the first time since Week 9. The third-year wideout dominated the short-to-medium-passing window throughout the contest, logging his third-highest target total of the season in the process. Puts in full practice
Thomas (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Thomas' activity confirms that his lack of participation in Wednesday's session was for maintenance purposes more than anything else. Thomas (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Analysis: After being held out of Wednesday's session, Thomas at least is managing some reps Thursday, which bodes well for his Week 14 availability. During the previous weeks in which he missed a practice with an injury or ailment -- Weeks 2 and 9 -- he was a full participant the next day and proceeded to dismantle his upcoming opponents (the Browns and Rams, respectively) to the tune of 24 catches (on 28 targets) for 300 yards and three touchdowns.

Pops up with ankle injury
Thomas was held out of Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Assuming he picked up the injury during last Thursday's 13-10 loss to Dallas, the 25-year-old wideout will at least have the benefit of a few extra days to recover ahead of the Saints' Week 14 road matchup with the Buccaneers. He's missed just one game in three NFL seasons, but there won't be any denying the concern if Thomas doesn't make it back to practice in some capacity Thursday. Quiet night in surprising loss
Thomas brought in five of eight targets for 40 yards in the Saints' 13-10 loss to the Cowboys on Thursday. He also recovered a fumble.
Analysis: Thomas may have led the Saints in receiving yardage, but it was his second straight game with less than 50. The third-year wideout was a victim of a Cowboys' suffocating pass defense that limited Drew Brees to a season-low 4.5 yards per attempt. Quiet on Thanksgiving night
Thomas hauled in four of six targets, managing only 38 yards during Thursday's 31-17 win against the Falcons.
Analysis: Seemingly against all logic, the Saints star receiver was held to 38 receiving yards -- his lowest output since Week 6 of 2017 -- against a Falcons defense that entered Thanksgiving ranking in the bottom half of the NFL in targets, yards and catch rate allowed to wideouts, and bottom 10 in touchdowns surrendered to the position (14). Thomas hauled in all four of his targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 48-7 win over Philadelphia.
Analysis: Thomas' first two targets of the day went for 30-yard receptions and would help set up touchdowns a few plays later in the first half. The former Buckeye opened the third quarter with a 9-yard catch before capping that same drive off with a 23-yard score to give the Saints a 31-7 lead. Analysis: Thomas got most of his work in during the Saints' 15-play opening drive, catching four passes for 37 yards -- including a seven-yard-touchdown catch that required the young target to dive back toward the front pylon. There has been a lot of interest in who the Saints can line up opposite Thomas with Ted Ginn Jr. (knee), Cam Meredith (knee), and newly-acquired Dez Bryant (Achilles) all on the shelf. Sets career high in receiving yards

Analysis: Thomas was the only Saints player with more than five targets as he set a new career high in receiving yardage, setting the single-game franchise record in the process. Already well on his way to a big day, the wideout burned a defender deep to haul in a 72-yard touchdown pass and put the game away in the fourth quarter. Takes in full practice Thursday
Thomas (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday.
Analysis: The Saints limited Thomas' practice reps Wednesday as a result of a shoulder injury, but it didn't hinder his ability to participate in all drills Thursday. He has a great chance to produce Sunday versus a Rams defense that has yielded 9.2 YPT and 11 touchdowns to wide receivers this season.
