Quiet finale, quiet season
Erickson had one catch on three targets in the Bengals' season-ending loss to the Ravens, closing out the season with only 12 catches for 139 yards and no touchdowns.
Analysis: It's a fitting close for Erickson, who was unable to break through with many big plays and in fact committed a couple of costly fumbles on the season. He'll be a free agent this offseason, and there's no guarantee that he'll return.

Racks up 88 yards
Erickson recorded six receptions on six targets for 88 yards in Week 16 against the Texans.
Analysis: Erickson took over the primary slot role with Tyler Boyd (concussion) sidelined. He did most of his work in the short areas of the field, though he did manage to work deep downfield for a 42-yard gain early in the third quarter. Should Boyd miss the team's Week 17 matchup against the Ravens, Erickson should maintain his role in the slot.

Added snaps likely Sunday
Erickson is expected to start in place of Tyler Boyd (concussion) Sunday against the Texans, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Tee Higgins and A.J. Green are also in the team's wide receiver mix Sunday, so Erickson -- who's caught five passes for 43 yards in 14 games to date -- still represents a speculative fantasy option in Week 16 lineups.

Loses key fumble
Erickson caught one pass for nine yards and lost a fumble on a rushing attempt in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.
Analysis: Erickson's fumble was one of three lost by the Bengals, and it ultimately led to a touchdown drive that increased the Cowboys' lead to 17-0. The veteran wideout has yet to see more than three targets or two touches in a game this season, instead seeing most of his action as a punt returner.

Hauls in two targets
Erickson caught two of three targets for 17 yards, returned one kickoff for 24 yards and two punts for 13 yards during Sunday's 19-7 loss to Miami.
Analysis: The 28-year-old played a season-high 19 offensive snaps Sunday, which is the first time all season he's logged double digits in that category. Erickson hasn't been involved much offensively in 2020, but he should continue to see work in the return game for the Bengals.

Totals 10 yards
Erickson caught his only target for eight yards, rushed once for two yards and returned two punts for 19 yards during Sunday's 20-9 loss to Washington.
Analysis: The 28-year-old played only five offensive snaps, which is still the most playing time he's seen since Week 4. Erickson is buried on Cincinnati's depth chart at wide receiver, and his primary role continues to be in the return game.

No return chances against Titans
Erickson fielded one offensive snap and five special-teams snaps during Sunday's 31-20 upset of Tennessee, but he registered no touches in either department.
Analysis: Erickson remains situated as the Bengals' top punt returner, though he hasn't been afforded a single opportunity to bring one back over the past three weeks. On 10 returns this season, Erickson's 9.3 yards-per-attempt average ranks right up there with the best in the league, as the veteran currently sits sixth in the NFL in that category. Erickson's offensive role has been practically nonexistent, however, as he has just one catch this season after racking up a career-best 43 during a 2-14…read more

Peels off long punt return
Erickson collected 29 yards on two punt return attempts during Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: The special-teams ace received four snaps for the Bengals' offense without registering a target, but he made his presence felt in the return game. Erickson was able to take back a Ty Long punt for a 22-yard return at the 7:53 mark of the third quarter, helping to set up Randy Bullock with a 43-yard field goal that put Cincinnati ahead by seven points for the time being. Though Erickson boasts strong averages for his career -- 24.8 yards per kick return and 7.6 yards per punt return -- he…read more

Quiet finale
Erickson notched a 16-yard reception across four targets in the Bengals' Week 17 win over the Browns. He finished the season with 43 catches for 529 yards and zero touchdowns to go along with 157 punt return yards.
Analysis: Erickson will be a free agent this upcoming offseason, and it's uncertain whether the Bengals intend to re-sign him. He lost the primary kick-return duties this season, so his utility to the team has diminished despite being more active on offense.

Busy day
Erickson had six catches for 55 yards on nine targets in Sunday's loss to Miami. He also had 43 yards on punt returns.
Analysis: Erickson has ended up seeing a lot of work lately as the Bengals' No. 3 receiver, and this was his second-highest target total of the year. The Bengals had to throw constantly in the second half just to force overtime, where they ultimately fell short.

Critical fumble
Erickson lost a fumble on a punt return right before halftime in Sunday's loss to the Pats.
Analysis: Erickson's fumble helped the Pats regain the lead, one that they would not relinquish. It was an overall disappointing day for Erickson, whose offensive contributions amounted to one catch for six yards on five targets.

To benefit from Tate, Green absences
Erickson is expected to have a regular role in three-receiver sets Sunday against the Patriots with A.J. Green (ankle) ruled out for the contest and Auden Tate (knee) recently moving to injured reserve, Tyler Dragon of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: As Dragon notes, Green hasn't practiced since Nov. 4, so there's a real chance the star wideout remains sidelined for Weeks 16 and 17 as well. The absences of Green and Tate will open up snaps for Erickson alongside Tyler Boyd and John Ross, with the Wisconsin product likely to do most of his damage as a short-yardage target out of the slot. Erickson played 80 percent of the offensive snaps -- his second-highest rate of the season -- in the Bengals' Week 14 loss in Cleveland, finishing with…read more

Leads team in targets
Erickson caught five of seven targets for 45 yards during Sunday's 27-19 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Erickson led the team in targets and tied for first in receptions, but he was mostly limited to short gains and finished with modest yardage. He's seen 17 targets over the last three games, but that has translated into just nine catches for 109 receiving yards. Despite his involvement, Erickson carries little fantasy value and this should remain the case next Sunday against the Patriots.

Catches both targets
Erickson caught both his targets for 21 yards and returned three punts for six yards during Sunday's win over the Jets.
Analysis: Erickson saw eight targets last week versus the Steelers but wasn't nearly as involved with Andy Dalton back at quarterback, despite playing a similar number of offensive snaps. The 27-year-old posted 14 catches for 234 yards in Weeks 7 and 8, but across the last four games he has only five receptions for 64 yards. Erickson's fantasy potential remains limited while Tyler Boyd and Auden Tate are healthy.

Catches two of eight targets
Erickson caught two of his eight targets for 43 yards during Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Erickson finished second on the team in targets, but he struggled time and again to connect with Ryan Finley. He did make a flashy 30-yard gain at one point but was otherwise held in check. This was certainly an improvement over his last two games, during which he caught one of seven targets for zero yards, but it's tough to endorse Erickson's fantasy value for next week's matchup with the Jets.

Zero yards against Raiders
Erickson had one catch for zero yards in Sunday's loss to the Raiders.
Analysis: Rookie quarterback Ryan Finley really struggled despite a matchup that appeared to be advantageous, and that really manifested itself with the production of the Bengals' wide receivers. Both Erickson and Tyler Boyd essentially were shut out.

Removed from injury report
Erickson (back) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Oakland.
Analysis: Erickson returned to practice Thursday as a limited participant before upgrading to a full session Friday. He should have at least one or two more weeks with a top-three role in Zac Taylor's three-wide-heavy offense, as A.J. Green (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game after sitting out every practice this week. Erickson's four games with snap shares above 50 percent have yielded 18 catches for 281 yards on 29 targets, though most of that production came with Andy Dalton playing…read more

Logs limited practice
Erickson (back) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: After Erickson sat out Wednesday's practice with the issue, this represents an upgrade. Friday will go a long way to determining the 27-year-old's status for gameday. Stanley Morgan would likely receive more snaps if Erickson is forced to sit.

Day-to-day with back injury
Coach Zac Taylor said Wednesday that Erickson is considered day-to-day due to a back injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Taylor also said that Erickson won't participate in live drills Wednesday, putting the wideout on track for a non-participation listing on the Bengals' first practice report of Week 11. Erickson will have two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday's tilt against the Raiders. With John Ross (shoulder) having been designated to return from injured reserve and A.J. Green (ankle) working toward a potential return, Erickson could end up taking a back seat in Cincinnati's aerial attack down the…read more

Dealing with undisclosed injury
Offensive coordinator Brian Callahan said Erickson's snaps were limited during Sunday's loss to Baltimore due to an undisclosed injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Erickson failed to bring in either of the two targets he saw over 38 snaps before leaving the game. Rookie Stanley Morgan saw a career high in playing time as a result of Erickson's absence, but he was only able to catch one of four targets for nine yards on an identical 38 offensive snaps. Erickson's participation in practice this week will be telling for his availability for Sunday's game in Oakland. If he's unable to go, Morgan again figures to take on an expanded role.
