Productive with third-string QB
Golladay caught four of five targets for 158 yards and a touchdown during Thursday's 24-20 loss to Chicago.
Analysis: One can be forgiven for considering benching Golladay given Detroit's murky quarterback situation, as few expected third-string quarterback David Blough to play as well as he did Thursday. After all, the majority of Golladay's production came on a 75-yard pass during the first drive of the game, and Golladay couldn't have been any more wide open than he was on that particular play. We'll simply need a larger sample size to understand if the Blough-to-Golladay connection is legit. To that end,…read more

Picks up 61 yards in loss
Golladay caught all four of his targets for 61 yards during Sunday's 19-16 loss to Washington.
Analysis: Golladay was held in check for much of Sunday, but he showed off some big-play ability early in the second quarter, taking a quick out and sprinting up the sideline for a 34-yard gain to set up a Lions field goal. Golladay has still managed to make big plays with Jeff Driskel in for Matthew Stafford (back) over the past three weeks, but there's no question that the third-year receiver misses his starting quarterback. Golladay topped 115 yards receiving in four of eight contests with Stafford…read more

Held to one catch vs. Cowboys
Golladay caught one of five targets for 34 yards during Sunday's 35-27 loss to the Cowboys.
Analysis: Although Golladay tied for the team lead in targets, he struggled to connect with Jeff Driskel en route to his third-lowest yardage total of the season. He made a spectacular play on his lone reception, which was his team's second-longest gain from scrimmage, but he made little to no impact outside of that contribution. Golladay's production seems likely to fluctuate for as long as Matthew Stafford (back) is out of the lineup, but he could have opportunities to bounce back next week against the…read more

Avoids dud with long TD
Golladay caught three of nine targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Bears.
Analysis: Fill-in quarterback Jeff Driskel wasn't exactly efficient when targeting Golladay, but the wide receiver was able to salvage his day with a 47-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. While Golladay's value will take a hit if Matt Stafford (back) continues to sit out, he's too talented to bench and now has eight touchdowns in nine games this season.

Missing starting QB in Week 10
Golladay will be catching passes from backup quarterback Jeff Driskel on Sunday against the Bears with Matthew Stafford (back) inactive for the contest.
Analysis: Golladay's fantasy outlook, along with that of the rest of his skill-position teammates, naturally takes a sizable hit with Stafford out of action. Driskel does have starting experience, having logged nine games under center with the Bengals last season during which he generated a 6:2 TD:INT and threw for 1,003 yards overall. However, a last-minute spot start against the Bears at Soldier Field figures to be a difficult assignment, even with Chicago's defense not playing at the same level as…read more

Sets season high in yardage
Golladay caught four of seven targets for 132 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Raiders.
Analysis: After getting off to a bit of a slow start, Golladay made his presence felt with a 59-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. He made a couple of other big plays and finished averaging 33.0 yards per catch while setting a season high in yardage. Golladay has been excellent over the last four games, averaging 99.3 receiving yards per game while scoring three times in that span. He'll look to keep it up next Sunday against the Bears.

Scores two TDs vs. Giants
Golladay caught six of eight targets for 123 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 31-26 win over the Giants.
Analysis: Golladay led the team in receiving yards while tying for the top spot in targets. He scored a nine-yard touchdown in the third quarter and added a 41-yard score -- which proved decisive on the scoreboard -- with just over two minutes left in the fourth. Although Golladay was held to just one catch a week ago, he's averaged 83 receiving yards per game over the last four while scoring four touchdowns in that span. He'll look to keep it up in a favorable road matchup against the Raiders next…read more

Barely used against Vikings
Golladay caught one of two targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 42-30 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: You'd think Golladay had gotten injured if you only looked at his stat line, but he indeed handled over 80 percent of the offensive snaps and just didn't see many passes come his way. This is more than surprising for a player who was averaging nine targets per game and had seen over 27 percent (fifth in the NFL) of his team's targets overall. Fantasy owners who can maintain their faith in the talented youngster might just benefit from a significant bounce-back performance Week 8 when Golladay…read more

Tops century mark
Golladay caught five of nine targets for 121 yards during Monday's 23-22 loss to Green Bay.
Analysis: For the second time this year, Golladay racked up over 100 receiving yards before halftime thanks to a number of tough catches. However, the most encouraging aspect of this game for Golladay investors is that quarterback Matthew Stafford repeatedly targeted the wideout despite having someone else seemingly wide open. This shouldn't be much of a surprise, considering Golladay has served as Stafford's go-to option since last season and the receiver has seen at least eight targets in every game…read more

Reels in two touchdowns
Golladay caught five of nine passes for 67 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 34-30 loss to Kansas City.
Analysis: Golladay almost capped off the upset in the final moments of the game, snagging a six-yard strike for his second score of the day to give the Lions a 30-27 lead. The Lions were unable to hang on, but Golladay continues to be a solid play thanks to his red-zone production. Though he's topped 70 yards just once this season, he's scored in three of four games and four times overall. Next up is a difficult matchup against the Packers in Week 6.

Poor catch rate in Week 3 win
Golladay brought in two of eight targets for 17 yards in the Lions' 27-24 win over the Eagles on Sunday.
Analysis: Golladay saw a significant downturn in the win, with his inefficiency particularly surprising when considering he'd snagged 12 of his first 19 looks of the season over the first pair of games. The Northern Illinois product was coming off an eight-catch, 117-yard effort versus the Chargers in Week 2. He'll look to get back to that level of production with another healthy target share in a Week 4 matchup against a Chiefs team in which the passing game should take center stage.

Snags game-winning TD
Golladay caught eight of 10 targets for 117 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 13-10 victory over the Chargers.
Analysis: Golladay made up for an offensive pass interference call by hauling in a 31-yard go-ahead touchdown from Matthew Stafford halfway through the fourth quarter. He ultimately led the Lions in targets, receptions and yardage, looking much more like an early-round fantasy pick than he did last week against Arizona. The 6-foot-4 monster should be able to keep up the solid play against a shaky group of Eagles corners in Week 3.

Opens 2019 campaign with touchdown
Golladay caught four of nine targets for 42 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 27-27 tie with the Cardinals.
Analysis: Golladay and Marvin Jones seemingly backed up the entire Cardinals secondary and allowed Danny Amendola and T.J. Hockenson to combine for 13 receptions on 22 targets underneath. The third-year receiver still could've had a much bigger day had luck been on his side more frequently - including a play that couldn've gone for another potential touchdown - but Golladay still topped his 7.9-target-per-game pace from 2018 and more than doubled the number of targets Jones saw. Golladay will continue to…read more

Little work in preseason debut
Golladay logged 32 snaps during Friday's preseason game against the Bills.
Analysis: The only pass sent Golladay's way was negated by a penalty. Matthew Stafford otherwise targeted T.J. Hockenson and Danny Amendola four times a piece, while Marvin Jones was sent three passes and Lions running backs collectively commanded five of the quarterback's 14 total attempts. We might have to get used to Stafford spreading the ball around a little bit, but Golladay clearly remains the best bet of the bunch to lead Detroit in receiving this season.

Returns from chest injury
Golladay (chest) returned to practice Thursday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Golladay and Marvin Jones (knee) both participated in the first session of training camp, after being held out of practices throughout the offseason program. The wide receiver roles in Detroit already appear solid, with Jones and Golladay dominating outside snaps while Danny Amendola mans the slot. Now that playing time isn't a question, Golladay's biggest concern is new offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, who has a long history of directing run-heavy attacks.

Under limitations during minicamp
Golladay (chest) has been working with the rehab group during the Lions' mandatory minicamp this week, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Golladay continues to work past an injury, per Jennifer Hammond of FOX 2 Detroit, with the wideout presumably still impacted by the chest issue that prevented him from playing in Week 17 of last season. Coach Matt Patricia said Golladay won't be back in the mix until he's "ready to go," but it isn't clear if the 25-year-old is expected to be back to full strength before or after the start of training camp later this summer. Sidelined for start of OTAs
Golladay (chest) isn't participating in individual or team drills during the Lions' early OTA sessions, Chris Burke of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: It's not entirely clear if the chest injury that prevented Golladay from playing in the Week 17 win over the Packers is the same issue that has kept him from taking reps this week. In any case, there haven't been any further news suggesting Golladay will be hampered when training camp rolls around this summer.

Could get help in slot
Golladay's (chest) emergence in 2018 may have made teammate Marvin Jones (knee) expendable for the upcoming season, but the Lions could opt to keep both players and focus on upgrading the slot position in the months to come, Nate Atkins of MLive.com reports.
Analysis: Golladay was one of the few bright spots in an ugly 2018 campaign for the Lions, catching 79 of 119 targets for 1,063 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games before sitting out Week 17 with a chest injury. He's the clear favorite to lead the team in targets next season, regardless of whether or not Jones is brought back at his somewhat reasonable $9.2 million cap hit (per OverTheCap.com). To sit out Week 17
Golladay (chest) is inactive Sunday against Green Bay.
Analysis: While Golladay played through the issue in Week 16, he didn't do enough in the practice week to inspire confidence in his status for the regular-season finale. He'll end up sitting out a relatively meaningless game, leaving the depleted wide receiver group to be led by the likes of Andy Jones, TJ Jones and Brandon Powell. It's a tough break for any fantasy owners counting on Week 17 production, as he would have faced an already-vulnerable Green Bay secondary that is further depleted by injuries.

Deemed questionable
Golladay (chest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Green Bay, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: While he didn't go through individual drills during the open portion of Friday's practice, Golladay apparently did enough to be labeled as a limited participant for a second straight day. He played through the same chest injury during last week's 27-9 loss to Minnesota, catching six passes for 58 yards on 15 targets. Golladay gets a better matchup this week and is a strong bet for heavy volume if he plays, but it is possible the Lions opt for a cautious approach in the final game of a lost…read more

Golladay (chest) was present for Friday's practice with a helmet, but he didn't go through individual drills, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

His status now appears murky for Sunday's game in Green Bay, with another update coming once the Lions release their final injury report Friday afternoon.

Upgrades to limited participation
Golladay (chest) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Analysis: One week removed from being limited all week by a chest injury, Golladay has progressed from no activity Wednesday to some Thursday. Clearly, he's trending in the right direction, but Friday's injury report will reveal whether he enters the weekend with a designation. Since Golden Tate was dealt to Philadelphia between Weeks 8 and 9, Golladay has put together an eight-game run composed of 40 catches (on 75 targets) for 586 yards and two touchdowns.

Back in session
Golladay (chest) returned to practice Thursday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Analysis: With the chest injury in tow, Golladay practiced in a limited capacity last week, so he isn't too far behind this time around, especially if he progresses to an uncapped session Thursday and/or Friday. The Lions' second Week 17 injury report will divulge his activity level as he aims to play through the discomfort for one more game.

Continues to deal with chest issue
Golladay didn't practice Wednesday due to a chest injury, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Golladay was limited by the same issue all of last week, so his lack of participation this week may just be a precautionary measure. Only time will tell, though. The second-year wide receiver has two more chances to take part in practice before Sunday's visit to Green Bay.

No practice reps Wednesday
Golladay didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Golladay has tended to chest and quadriceps injuries during the stretch run, but those issues haven't stopped him from taking the field on gameday. Over the least seven games, he's drawn eight targets in a contest six times. He's surpassed 100 yards twice and scored two touchdowns during that span en route to 37 receptions for 540 yards and two touchdowns, making him a must-start option if he's deemed ready to go Sunday against the Packers.

Turns 15 targets into 58 yards
Golladay (chest) came down with just six of 15 targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 27-9 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: Golladay has been the only functional piece in Detroit's passing game for a while now, and even he's having trouble getting much going with the shell of Matthew Stafford (back) struggling under center. The volume should be there for the second-year wide receiver in Week 17, but don't count on Golladay ending his five-game touchdown drought when the Lions travel to Green Bay.

Suiting up Week 16
Golladay (chest) is listed as active Sunday against the Vikings, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Analysis: In the wake of a career-high 146-yard performance last Sunday against the Bills' top-ranked pass defense, Golladay was limited in practice all week by a chest injury. Nevertheless, he'll be available against a slightly less staunch Minnesota defense through the air that contained him to a 3-46-0 line on four targets Week 9.

Likely good to go Week 16
Golladay (chest), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings, is expected to play, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Analysis: Golladay's status will be confirmed when the Lions release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to 1 p.m. EST kickoff, but it looks like fantasy managers planning on using the wideout can bank on him being available. The second-year player is coming off a Week 15 outing against the Bills in which he posted a career-high 146 receiving yards, but Minnesota limited Golladay to three receptions for 46 yards on four targets back in Week 9.

Receives questionable tag
Golladay (chest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Analysis: Golladay's practice reps were limited throughout the week while he managed the chest injury, which he likely picked up at some point during the Week 15 loss to the Bills. Even in that unfavorable matchup, Golladay parlayed eight targets into seven receptions for 146 yards, so he should still make for an appealing option in fantasy lineups this week if the injury doesn't prevent him from suiting up. Reps capped again
Golladay (chest) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Golladay may be following the same practice regimen as a week ago, when he logged limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday before advancing to full participation Friday. If he again turns in a full showing in the Lions' final practice of the week, there won't be any concern about his status for Sunday's matchup with the Vikings. Golladay was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice report with a chest injury.
Analysis: Golladay's reps were capped in the first two practices of last week as a result of a quadriceps issue, but he turned in a full session Friday and proceeded to post a career-best 146 receiving yards Sunday in Buffalo. Racks up 146 yards in losing effort
Golladay caught seven of eight targets for 146 yards in Sunday's 14-13 loss to Buffalo.
Analysis: Golladay was the only offensive player able to get going for the Lions, as no other receiver reached the 30-yard mark and no Detroit player got to 50 rushing yards. This performance broke a three-week trend of declining yardage totals, and it gives Golladay 90-plus yards in three of the past five games coming into a Week 16 date with the Vikings.

Ready for Week 14
Golladay (quadriceps) doesn't carry a designation into Sunday's contest at Arizona.
Analysis: After having his practice reps capped Wednesday and Thursday due to a quad issue, Golladay didn't miss a single one at Friday's session. As the Lions' unquestioned top pass catcher in the wake of Marvin Jones' season-ending knee injury, Golladay may be shadowed by Cardinals All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson on Sunday. Despite the preceding, Golladay has been targeted 44 times over the last four games, volume that is difficult to discount.

Analysis: Golladay seems to have picked up a minor issue in the process of catching three passes for 50 yards on eight targets in Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Rams. Underwhelms in Week 13 loss
Golladay brought in three of eight targets for 50 yards in the Lions' 30-16 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
Analysis: Serving as the most proven receiving threat on the team by far, Golladay saw plenty of defensive attention, which helped lead to a poor catch rate. The second-year wideout was able to notch a 24-yard grab that accounted for nearly half of his production, but his receiving yardage tally was his lowest over the last four games. Golladay will look to bounce back with a return to his previous production when the Lions tangle with the Cardinals in Week 14.

Golladay brought in five of eight targets for 90 yards in the Lions' 23-16 loss to the Bears on Thursday.
Analysis: Golladay had a slow first half before coming on after halftime to fall just short of his second straight 100-yard effort. The 25-year-old did manage his third straight solid line, and he's now brought in 19 of 36 targets for 281 yards and a pair of touchdowns over the last three contests. Golladay will undoubtedly continue to enjoy an expanded role for the remainder of the season in the wake of the recent trade of Golden Tate, and even more so if Marvin Jones (knee) continues sidelined into a…read more

Season-best catch total in win
Golladay brought in eight of 14 targets for 113 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 20-19 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Analysis: The last man standing among the Lions' season-opening trio of wideouts, Golladay impressively stepped up Sunday to pace Detroit in all receiving categories. The second-year pro's reception total was a season best, while his yardage haul fell just one short of equaling his high-water mark for the season as well. Golladay also got into the end zone for the second straight week when he brought in a go-ahead 19-yard touchdown on an acrobatic catch in the right side of the end zone with 5:13…read more

Leads receiving corps in Week 10 loss
Golladay brought in six of 13 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 34-22 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
Analysis: Golladay co-led the Lions in receptions Sunday while pacing the team in receiving yardage. The second-year wideout saw a spike in volume that was partly influenced by Marvin Jones exiting the game with an apparent knee injury in the fourth quarter, but he was a main cog in the air attack from the beginning of the game regardless. Golladay's catch total was his highest since Week 3, while his yardage haul was his best in the last four games. The 25-year-old should continue seeing a robust…read more

Quiet in first game sans Tate
Golladay caught three of four targets for 46 yards and rushed once for eight yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: While Golladay exceeded his receiving yardage from each of the past two games, he came up short of his production from the first five weeks. The second-year wide receiver was supposed to see an increased role following the trade of Golden Tate to the Eagles, but the Detroit offense looked dysfunctional in general, as Matthew Stafford threw for only 199 yards while taking 10 sacks. Golladay and the Lions will travel to Chicago in Week 10.
