Reaches 10 touchdowns as rookie
Ridley caught all five of his targets, collecting 32 receiving yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 34-32 win against the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Ridley's rookie campaign was accompanied by lofty expectations. The No. 26 overall pick delivered by coming within 180 receiving yards of a 1,000-yard season and providing 10 receiving touchdowns, three more than the second-best rookie wideout was able to manage in that category. Ridley carries strong potential to continue providing flex production in 2019, but with top targets Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu and Austin Hooper all projected to return, his upside seems to be capped as a low-tier WR2…read more

Scores long touchdown
Ridley caught three of five targets for 90 yards during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: Ridley had a rather modest day heading into the fourth quarter before breaking for a 75-yard touchdown which gave his team a lead they would never relinquish. The big play propelled him to the team lead in receiving yards on the day and was the third time he reached the 90-yard mark in his rookie campaign. Ridley is up to 789 receiving yards and nine touchdowns heading into next Sunday's season finale against the Buccaneers.

Snags five passes in win
Ridley caught five of seven targets for 42 yards during Sunday's 40-14 win over Arizona.
Analysis: The catches were there for Ridley, but the big-play production still eludes him. Through his last five games, Ridley is averaging just 9.9 yards per catch, nearly four full yards fewer than his average through the first nine games of the season. The rookie burst onto the scene with six touchdowns in his first four games, but he's scored just twice since then and has topped 50 receiving yards just twice in that span. Perhaps Week 16 can rekindle some magic, as Ridley faces off against a Carolina…read more

Completely neutralized by Packers
Ridley caught one of four targets, managing 10 receiving yards during Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Ridley has been shut down over each of the past two weeks against top-seven pass defenses in Green Bay and Baltimore, compiling a combined 32 receiving yards on four catches in those contests. He had averaged 57.8 receiving yards per contest between Weeks 1 and 12. Following an extremely promising eight-game run to begin his NFL career (4.1 catches and 57.9 yards per game, with seven touchdowns through Week 9), Ridley has exceeded three receptions or 40 receiving yards in a game only once over…read more

Good to go for Week 14
Ridley (hand/elbow) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's contest at Green Bay, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.
Analysis: Ridley has posted impressive peripheral numbers as a rookie, namely 9.1 yards per target and a 16 percent touchdown rate. That said, he's tallied his eight scores in five different games and surpassed 50 yards receiving just five times in 12 contests. A productive outing is very possible this weekend against a Packers defense that has conceded 165.6 receiving yards per game and 17 total touchdowns to wideouts in 12 outings this season.

Logs limited practice
Ridley (hand/elbow) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Ridley's reps were capped for the second day in a row, but there haven't been any reports suggesting his availability for Sunday's game against the Packers in serious jeopardy. Top wideout Julio Jones (foot) seems to be less healthy than Ridley, though coach Dan Quinn said he expects Jones will also be good to go for the Week 14 matchup. In the event Jones fails to progress as anticipated, Ridley and Mohamed Sanu would both see sizable boosts in their respective fantasy outlooks for the weekend.

Limited by pair of injuries
Ridley practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday due to hand and elbow injuries, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Two weeks ago, Ridley dealt with a thigh concern before tearing up the Saints secondary on Thanksgiving Day to the tune of eight catches (on 13 targets) for 93 yards and one touchdown. Last week, he tended to ankle and elbow issues, only to post three receptions for 22 yards on five targets last Sunday against a staunch Ravens secondary. He's now ditched the ankle injury but has added a hand issue to the mix. Coming off the second-worst performance of his rookie campaign in terms of yardage,…read more

Neutralized in Week 13 loss
Ridley hauled in three of five targets, managing only 22 receiving yards during Sunday's 26-16 loss to Baltimore.
Analysis: Outside of a highly productive showing on Thanksgiving night against the Saints -- eight catches for 93 yards and a touchdown -- Ridley has been thoroughly contained over the past quarter of the regular season, failing to exceed three receptions or 40 yards against Baltimore, Dallas and Cleveland. Even in the largely impressive Week 12 showing against New Orleans, Ridley coughed up a fumble inside the Saints' 5-yard line that came back to cost Atlanta dearly down the stretch. Cleared to face Ravens
Ridley (ankle) doesn't have a designation on the Falcons' final injury report for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Analysis: Ridley was listed as a limited participant for every practice this week, but the Falcons apparently don't have any qualms about his health heading into Sunday. He should be fine to fill his usual role while facing a stingy Baltimore defense ranked first in yards allowed per pass attempt (6.2) and second in passing yards allowed per game (203) this season.

Still limited in practice
Ridley (ankle/elbow) was limited at Thursday's practice, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Ridley has been injured at times during his rookie campaign, but he has logged at least 60 percent of the snaps on offense in eight of 11 games, including each of the last five. His peripheral numbers -- 9.5 YPT and 17.0 percent TD rate -- suggest he's set to erupt on a weekly basis. However, the presence of target-hog Julio Jones keeps Ridley contained most games. Assuming he puts ankle and elbow issues behind him, Ridley has a tough matchup Sunday against a Ravens defense that has allowed…read more

Dealing with pair of injuries
Ridley (ankle/elbow) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Ridley was listed on the practice report with a thigh injury last week, eventually catching eight of 13 targets for 93 yards and a touchdown in a 31-17 loss to the Saints on Thanksgiving Day. He apparently picked up a couple more issues along the way, but his ability to practice in any capacity Wednesday puts him on track to play in Sunday's game against the Ravens.

Four scores in two games against Saints
Ridley corralled eight of 13 targets, putting up 93 receiving yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 31-17 loss to New Orleans. The rookie wideout also lost a fumble inside the Saints' five-yard line during the fourth quarter.
Analysis: Ridley has feasted on the Saints' bottom-five pass defense, with four of his eight touchdowns this season coming against Atlanta's NFC South foe. Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian has featured the rookie wideout as a focus of the game plan when facing New Orleans, with Ridley averaging 10.5 targets per game in those contests, compared to five targets per game in all other appearances. Good to go for Thanksgiving Day
Ridley (thigh) practiced fully Wednesday and doesn't carry an injury designation into Thursday's game against the Saints, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.
Analysis: Ridley's thigh issue was never thought to be a major worry, but his availability to avoid even a questionable tag heading into the Thanksgiving Day matchup provides further confidence in his health. The wideout enjoyed his best outing of the season in the Falcons' previous meeting with the Saints in Week 3, finishing with seven receptions for 146 yards and three touchdowns on eight targets.

Remains limited at practice
Ridley (thigh) was a limited participant at Tuesday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The thigh injury might be just a minor concern and something that won't jeopardize his status for the Falcons' Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Saints. Ridley has popped up on Atlanta's injury reports on a few occasions during his inaugural campaign but has suited up for all 10 games, posting 39 receptions for 532 yards and seven touchdowns in those outings.

Limited by thigh
Ridley (thigh) was a limited participant at Monday's walk-through, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Ridley has made a few appearances on Falcons injury reports this season, but he has yet to be a gameday inactive. Since his 146-yard, three-touchdown outburst Week 3, he's been a complementary option to Julio Jones in the passing attack, surpassing 50 yards receiving just two times in seven games. Overall, though, Ridley has posted an impressive 10.0 yards per target and seven TDs among his 39 receptions.

Totals 32 receiving yards
Ridley caught three of his four targets for 32 yards and carried once for five more yards during Sunday's 22-19 loss to the Cowboys.
Analysis: Ridley finished fourth on the team in targets and managed a long gain of just 14 yards in this quiet performance. He bobbled what should have been an easy catch in the fourth quarter, resulting in a Dallas interception which set up a touchdown. Ridley has been rather quiet over his last six games, topping 50 receiving yards just once while making one trip to the end zone during that span. Fails to build on Week 9 success
Ridley hauled in three of five targets for 37 yards, adding one rush for three yards during Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Ridley has exceeded 70 yards on two occasions thus far in 2018 (Week 3 and Week 9). In the weeks following those two outings, the rookie receiver has seen a 68 percent reduction in terms of receiving output (91 combined yards in games following 146- and 71-yard displays). Breaks scoreless streak
Ridley caught six of nine passes for 71 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 38-14 win over Washington. He added a 6-yard run.
Analysis: The rookie first-rounder scored six touchdowns during the first four games of the season, so fans could be forgiven for being puzzled as to why the young stud went scoreless in three straight games with just 128 total yards during that span. He got back on track in the final seconds of the first half, settling over the middle and then chugging up the field for a 40-yard score. Solid performance as Falcons push to 3-4
Ridley corralled five of six targets for 43 receiving yards during Monday's 23-20 win against the Giants.
Analysis: After collecting an absurd six touchdowns between Week 2 and Week 4, the No. 26 overall pick has come back down to earth over his past three outings with 42.7 yards per game and zero scores against the Steelers, Buccaneers and Giants. Though the explosive production has not been there of late, Ridley continues to be highly efficient, with a proficient 77.1 percent catch rate as the Falcons enter a Week 8 bye. Ready to go Monday
Ridley (ankle) has been cleared for Monday's matchup with the Giants, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Ridley and Mohamed Sanu (hip) will both be available come Monday night, so Matt Ryan will have his full arsenal available. The rookie pass catcher was limited at Friday's practice, but it looks like the Falcons were just exercising caution with his participation. Barring any setbacks, look for him to resume his usual role on the offense.

Returns to limited practice
Ridley (ankle) returned to practice Friday as a limited participant, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports. Prior to the session, Ridley told Butt that he was "feeling good" about the health of his ankle.
Analysis: Ridley seems to be a step ahead of Mohamed Sanu (hip), who was held out of practice entirely for a second straight day. The rookie suffered a bone bruise in his left ankle during last week's 34-29 win over the Buccaneers, rendering him unable to play throughout the second half. Justin Hardy will be next in line for snaps if the Falcons are missing Ridley and/or Sanu in Monday's game against the Giants.

Doesn't participate Thursday
Ridley (ankle) was held out of practice Thursday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Ridley was active at various points during the session, warming up, stretching with the training staff, and catching passes from quarterbacks, per Jason Butt of The Athletic. However, the activity wasn't enough for Ridley to receive a 'limited' designation. With a bone bruise of his left ankle in tow, any practice reps that he fits in Friday or Saturday may be determined by pain tolerance.

Limited in practice Thursday
Ridley (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Ridley made his presence felt throughout the session, taking part in warmups, stretching with the team's trainer (per D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution), and catching passes from quarterbacks (according to Jason Butt of The Athletic). All of Ridley's activity took place without a helmet and shells, though, so he still has a few steps to take before getting the all-clear to play through a bone bruise in his left ankle Monday versus the Giants.

Present at start of Thursday's practice
Ridley (ankle) was present at the part of Thursday's practice open to the media but didn't have a helmet or shells, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Ridley was somewhat active during warmups, but it's unclear if he'll practice in a limited capacity, as coach Dan Quinn told McClure earlier Thursday. Fortunately for Ridley, an MRI was returned clean on his injured left ankle, which is thought to be a bone bruise. While the lack of the aforementioned equipment implies he may not practice, the Falcons' first Week 7 injury report will confirm his activity level.

Headed for limited practice
Ridley (ankle) is expected to return to practice on a limited basis Thursday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Ridley already had his MRI come back clean, and the belief in Falcons camp is that he is dealing with a bone bruise. The fact that the rookie is getting in reps Thursday is encouraging, but his practice status will still be something to monitor throughout the week. Both he and fellow receiver Mohamed Sanu (hip) are a bit banged up, but an extra day certainly helps their chances of suiting up Monday night against the Giants.

Upcoming status uncertain
Coach Dan Quinn hopes Ridley (ankle) and Mohamed Sanu (hip) will be able to play next Monday against the Giants, Kelsey Conway of the Falcons' official site reports.
Analysis: Both Ridley and Sanu didn't return from their respective injuries this past Sunday versus the Buccaneers, allowing Justin Hardy to turn an increase in offensive snaps into three catches (on seven targets) for 33 yards. The Falcons have the benefit of an extra day to prepare Week 7, but they also won't be required to release an injury report until Thursday. Fortunately for Ridley, he's believed to have suffered only a bone bruise in his ankle, per Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com.

Avoids major injury
Ridley (ankle) is only believed to be dealing with a bone bruise after undergoing an MRI on Monday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Ridley exited Sunday's game against the Buccaneers after hurting his left ankle, but it seems the receiver has avoided any sort of serious injury. It's still too soon to say whether he will be able to play in the Falcons' Week 7 matchup with the Giants, but considering Atlanta is on bye Week 8, it wouldn't be a surprise if the team sidelines Ridley for one game to allow the rookie plenty of time to make a full recovery. Ridley will undergo an MRI on his ankle Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The report suggests that the fact that the wideout was walking on his ankle well after Sunday's win over the Buccaneers is a good sign that his injury is not serious. Prior to his exit from Sunday's game, Ridley caught all three of his targets for 47 yards. With Mohamed Sanu (hip) also banged up, Justin Hardy could see added work in a Week 7 Monday night matchup against the Giants.

Won't return Sunday
Ridley (ankle) won't return to Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers, Jeff Schultz of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Despite the abbreviated outing, Ridley recorded three catches (at least) for the fourth game in a row. He'll have more time than normal to heal up for a Monday night outing Week 7 against the Giants, a team that entered Sunday with the 11th-ranked pass defense (236.3 yards per game).

Ridley is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Buccaneers due to an ankle injury, Kelsey Conway of the Falcons' official site reports.
Analysis: Ridley left the contest as the Falcons' leading receiver, boasting three catches (on as many targets) for 47 yards. Quiet in loss to Steelers
Ridley hauled in four receptions (on five targets) for 38 yards, as Atlanta fell to 1-4 with a 41-17 loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday.
Analysis: Ridley was held without a score against Pittsburgh after logging six touchdowns in Atlanta's previous three games. A scoreless outing for the first-round rookie was surprising given that Pittsburgh entered Week 5 allowing the second-most passing touchdowns in the NFL (12), with only Tampa Bay giving up more thus far this season. Ridley and the Falcons are in desperation mode at 1-4, and the ball figures to be up in the air plenty against a porous Buccaneers secondary in Week 6.

Fellow wideout Julio Jones said that he wants to see Ridley to earn the honor every month this season, and there's a solid chance he kicks off October with a bang against the Steelers, who have allowed an AFC-high 12 passing TDs and are yielding an average of 304.8 passing yards (29th in the NFL)…read more

To be more involved in Week 2
Head coach Dan Quinn ensured that Ridley is going to be a more integral part of the Falcons' offensive game plan moving forward, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "Every game he should be a factor, not just because Freeman is going to miss this one," Quinn said Friday. "For sure, we are anticipating him being a bigger part of the offense."
Analysis: Ridley will look to notch his first regular-season reception Sunday against the Panthers after being shut out on two targets Week 1 against Philadelphia. Tough opponent ahead
Ridley faces a Panthers defense in Week 2 that allowed just 138 yards passing in Week 1.
Analysis: Ridley played 45 of the offense's 70 snaps in Atlanta's Week 1 loss at Philadelphia and was targeted just two times with no receptions. The No. 26 overall pick earned a spot as one of Atlanta's kick returners, but was largely uninvolved in the team's Week 1 offensive game plan. Even though Carolina had success against a poor Dallas pass offense, Atlanta will be at home on a fast field, so Ridley should get more involved in Week 2.

Ridley played just four snaps, all on special teams, in Sunday's 21-21 tie against the Browns.
Analysis: There was some question as to who the primary back-up to James Conner would be with Le'Veon Bell (contract dispute) still holding out. It turned out to be no one, as Conner was the only running back to carry the ball all game and did an outstanding job, despite a costly late fumble. Ridley was targeted by Matt Ryan on two occasions, but failed to record a reception during the Falcons' 18-12 loss to Philadelphia on Thursday night.
Analysis: The No. 26 overall pick earned a spot as one of Atlanta's kick returners, but was largely uninvolved in the team's Week 1 offensive game plan. Ridley had a chance to pick up an important first-down catch during the fourth quarter, but was popped by an Eagles defender and unable to haul in the pass. More drops than catches
Ridley collected one reception for 12 yards in Saturday's 17-6 defeat to the Jaguars.
Analysis: After picking up his first NFL touchdown last week against the Chiefs, Ridley dropped two of four targets Saturday, the second of which nearly resulted in a third-quarter interception for Matt Schaub. The No. 26 overall pick didn't get any looks at returner after a solid showing in Week 2 of the preseason, as Reggie Davis and Ito Smith fielded kickoffs instead.

Scores first touchdown
Ridley caught three of six targets for 49 yards and a touchdown, adding 52 yards on two kickoff returns, in Friday's preseason game against the Chiefs.
Analysis: The touchdown came from Matt Schaub, but the real highlight was a 36-yard completion from Matt Ryan on a nifty double move. With Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman both held out, the rookie accounted for three of Ryan's seven targets, while Mohamed Sanu only drew one look (a five-yard gain). Ridley is already a lock for playing time in three-wide sets, and it may not be long before he overtakes Sanu for the No. 2 receiver job.

May get reps as returner Friday
Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said Wednesday that Ridley will "likely" get a look as a kick returner in Atlanta's upcoming preseason game against Kansas City, Kelsey Conway of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Ridley's speed and shiftiness not only lends itself to him being successful as a slot receiver, but those same abilities also make the 23-year-old a candidate to become the Falcons' primary kickoff and punt returner in 2018. Marvin Hall and Ito Smith were the team's kick returners in the preseason opener against the Jets last week, with neither managing to break 25 yards on three combined attempts. Special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong stated earlier this week that the coaching staff likely…read more

Struggles in professional debut
Ridley hauled in his lone target for minus-2 yards during Friday's 17-0 loss to the Jets in the preseason opener.
Analysis: Ridley caught a pass from Matt Ryan on Atlanta's opening drive, but it was a screen that got busted up by cornerback Buster Skrine for a loss of two. The rookie first-rounder wasn't targeted again, and one can only assume he remains behind established veterans Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu on the depth chart. That said, it isn't out of the question for Ridley to challenge Sanu for the No. 2 gig.

Returns to practice
Ridley (hamstring) returned to practice Sunday, Jason Butt of The Athletic Atlanta reports.
Analysis: Ridley was removed from Saturday's practice with a hamstring injury that turned out to be minor. He should have regular role in the Atlanta offense and may even push Mohamed Sanu for the No. 2 receiver job.

Nursing hamstring injury
Ridley is dealing with an apparent hamstring issue, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: It was originally reported that Ridley's departure from practice was heat related, but it now looks as if there's more to the story. Given the nature of hamstring injuries, Ridley's progression will be something to keep an eye on moving forward. The good news is that the team doesn't appear to be overly concerned, with coach Dan Quinn calling the injury minor, and expects its prized rookie to be back relatively soon.

Leaves practice due to heat exhaustion
Ridley left Saturday's practice early with an apparent minor injury, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: The injury is said to have been heat related and not believed to be anything serious. Should Ridley miss a string of practices, then concerns become valid. The Falcons' prized first-round pick is entering his 2018 rookie campaign with high expectations.

Ridley agreed to terms Wednesday with the Falcons on a four-year contract, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports. Per D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the 23-year-old's contract, which contains a team option for the fifth year, is projected to fall in the $10.9 million range.
Analysis: Ridley, whom the Falcons selected 26th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, will serve as a complementary option behind star wideout Julio Jones and No. 2 receiver Mohamed Sanu when training camp opens. Given Atlanta's first-round investment as well as Ridley's own accomplishments during a stellar career at Alabama, it isn't hard to imagine him surpassing Sanu on the depth chart before long. In any case, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound rookie should carve out a role of import in the Atlanta offense right…read more

Ridley has drawn considerable praise regarding his performance in OTAs and minicamp, as head coach Dan Quinn said Wednesday that he is very impressed with the rookie's football IQ, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Ridley's performance in offseason workouts has been so strong to this point that a dropped pass during 11-on-11 drills Wednesday stunned observers at Flowery Branch. Granted, Falcons players have yet to don pads during practice, but all early indications signal a promising debut campaign for the 23-year-old Ridley. The rookie indicated after Atlanta's three-day minicamp that he intends to be in attendance for a Matt Ryan-led passing camp in July.
