Reels in touchdown
Washington caught all four of his targets for 111 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 20-13 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Washington made the most of JuJu Smith-Schuster's (knee) absence, nabbing a 30-yard touchdown just before halftime and then coming down with a 44-yard gain on the opening drive of the second half to set up Pittsburgh's only other touchdown on the day. Washington has been red hot despite drawing attention with Smith-Schuster out and mediocre quarterback play. He's topped 90 yards and scored in three of his last four games. He boasts an impressive 19.3 yards-per-catch average and faces off Sunday…read more

Big role awaits sans Smith-Schuster
Washington and Diontae Johnson are expected to serve as the Steelers' primary options at wide receiver Sunday against the Browns with JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) ruled out for a second straight game, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Pryor speculates that Deon Cain could also see a bump in snaps after making a big 35-yard catch in last week's 16-10 win over Cincinnati, but Washington and Johnson should remain the team's clear top two receivers after handling 78 percent and 68 percent offensive snaps shares, respectively, against the Bengals. Washington provided perhaps the best highlight of his young NFL career in the victory, finding a soft spot on the defense on a slant route and then stiff-arming his way to a 79-yard…read more

Scores long touchdown vs. Bengals
Washington caught three of seven targets for 98 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 16-10 win over the Bengals.
Analysis: Washington provided an enormous spark when his team needed it the most, catching a pass from Devlin Hodges and beating a defender before racing for a 79-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He led the team in targets on the day, and, although he hauled in less than half his looks, he still finished with his greatest output of the season. Washington is averaging an impressive 76.5 yards per game over his last four and will look to keep it going next Sunday against Cleveland.

Leads team with 49 yards
Washington caught three of five targets for 49 yards in Thursday night's 21-7 loss to Cleveland.
Analysis: Coming off his best performance of the campaign in Week 10 (6-90-1), Washington took a statistical step back Thursday, despite the opportunity presented by injuries to JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) and Diontae Johnson (concussion). Washington's fantasy prospects in Week 12 figure to hinge largely on the status of his banged up fellow wideouts.

Catches first TD in win over Rams
Washington caught six of seven targets for 90 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-12 win over the Rams.
Analysis: The second-year wideout was Mason Rudolph's most trusted option on the day, leading the Steelers in catches and yards and hauling in the only non-defensive TD of the game for either team -- his first touchdown of the year. Washington's now set new season highs in receiving yards in consecutive weeks, but he could have trouble making it three in a row in Week 11 against the Browns.

A career-best 69 yards in win
Washington caught all four targets for 69 yards in Sunday's 26-24 win over the Colts.
Analysis: Targeted twice as often as Diontae Johnson and just once fewer than JuJu Smith-Schuster, Washington racked up his highest yardage total in 20 career games. Still, he has just one career touchdown, and that came in his first NFL game. It may be safe to expect more of the same from Washington in Week 10, as the Rams held opponents to 10 points in each of the last two games before their Week 9 bye.

Held to one catch in Week 8
Washington had one reception for 21 yards in Monday's 27-14 win over the Dolphins.
Analysis: This was a game to forget for Washington who was targeted six times and now has just 10 catches on 27 targets for 161 yards and no touchdowns this season. At this point there is little reason to roster him except in deep fantasy leagues heading into Pittsburgh's Week 9 clash with Indianapolis.

Not listed on injury report
Washington (shoulder) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Monday's game against the Dolphins.
Analysis: As a result, the second-year receiver will be active for Monday's prime-time contest against the Dolphins after missing Week 6 with a shoulder injury. Washington has caught a pass in four of the five games in which he was active this season, but he has just two games with 50 or more receiving yards.

Returns to full practice
Washington (shoulder) practiced fully Thursday.
Analysis: Washington, who missed Week 6's game against the Chargers, obviously benefited from the Steelers' bye and is now in line to play Monday night against the 0-6 Dolphins. In his looming return to action, Washington figures to serve as the Steelers' No. 3 wide receiver target behind JuJu Smith-Schuster (illness) and Diontae Johnson. With nine catches for 140 yards in five games to date, Washington has been off the fantasy radar in most formats, but he's at least looking a favorable matchup in Week…read more

Back at practice
Washington (shoulder) practiced Monday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The Steelers' Week 7 bye came at a good time for Washington, who now will set his sights on returning to action next Monday against the 0-6 Dolphins. If he's able to suit up for Week 8 action, Washington figures to serve as the team's No. 3 wide receiver target behind JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson.

Ruled out for Week 6
Washington (shoulder) won't suit up against the Chargers on Sunday and is considered week-to-week, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis: According to Chris Adamski of TribLive.com, Washington was spotted without his shoulder in a sling Wednesday, but the second-year wideout's injury is evidently severe enough to force at least one missed game. The Steelers will benefit from a bye week after Sunday's tilt, which opens up the possibility that Washington might not miss any time beyond the Chargers game. In any case, Johnny Holton, Ryan Switzer and Donte Moncrief could all see increased opportunities as long as Washington remains…read more

Likely out multiple weeks
Washington (shoulder) is expected to miss a few weeks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Coach Mike Tomlin had a more optimistic outlook about the receiver's health Tuesday, saying he viewed Washington as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers. However, with Washington reportedly facing a multi-game absence, the Steelers may need to choose between Johnny Holton, Ryan Switzer and Donte Moncrief for a regular spot in three-wide sets alongside JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson. It'll be a major surprise if Washington practices Wednesday.

Looking shaky for Week 6
Coach Mike Tomlin said that he's viewing Washington (shoulder) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis: Washington played 33 of the Steelers' 60 offensive snaps (55 percent) in the 26-23 overtime loss to the Ravens in Week 5, finishing with a season-high three receptions for 52 yards before the shoulder injury forced him from the contest. The wideout's status for Week 6 won't be officially established until the Steelers see what he's able to do in practice Wednesday through Friday, but Tomlin's early expectation is that Washington will carry a designation into Sunday. Suffers shoulder injury

Comes up empty in win
Washington failed to catch his lone target in Monday night's 27-3 win over Cincinnati.
Analysis: Mason Rudolph seems to favor rookie Diontae Johnson over Washington -- and even JuJu Smith-Schuster -- when he isn't dumping short passes to his running backs. Washington has caught just six of 15 targets in four games and should not be in fantasy lineups heading into Pittsburgh's Week 5 game against Baltimore.

Two receptions again
Washington caught two of four targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 24-20 loss to San Francisco.
Analysis: For a third straight game Washington managed just two receptions. Fantasy owners hoping he might benefit from having Mason Rudolph -- his quarterback from Oklahoma State -- under center were disappointed in Week 3 as Washington was outperformed by rookie Diontae Johnson (3-52-1). Washington will look to rebound on Monday night against Cincinnati's beleaguered defense.

Takes step backwards in loss
Washington had two catches for 23 yards in Pittsburgh's 28-26 loss to Seattle on Sunday.
Analysis: Washington received just three targets -- half of what he saw in Week 1 -- and only one after Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) was out of the game. The Roethlisberger injury, as well as the one sustained by James Conner (knee) could limit Pittsburgh's already struggling offense against an undefeated San Francisco in Week 3. If Big Ben or Armadillo can't suit up fantasy owners may want to avoid using most Steelers, including Washington.

Pedestrian effort in blowout loss
Washington caught two of six targets for 51 yards in Pittsburgh's 33-3 loss to New England on Sunday.
Analysis: In the position battle between Washington and Donte Moncrief, Washington was the least worst in the season opener. His lone highlight was a 45-yard catch on the drive that led to Pittsburgh's only points of the game, and he'll need to show more consistency against Seattle in Week 2.

Scores on long reception
Washington caught one of two targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 18-6 preseason win over Tennessee.
Analysis: Washington has looked good through the first three preseason games but is still building chemistry with Ben Roethlisberger. As a result, he remains slightly behind Donte Moncrief to start the season but still has fantasy value, which could increase as the year progresses.

Second consecutive strong outing
Washington brought in four of five targets for 78 yards in the Steelers' 17-7 preseason win over the Chiefs on Saturday.
Analysis: For the second time in as many exhibitions, Washington led the Steelers in both receptions and receiving yards. The second-year wideout appears primed for a major step forward if his work this summer is any indication, and he could even be gaining on veteran Donte Moncrief for the No. 2 wideout job. Thrives in preseason opener
Washington brought in four of five targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers' 30-28 preseason win over the Buccaneers on Friday.
Analysis: Washington paced the Steelers in receptions and receiving yardage while seeing extensive playing time. The second-year wideout's touchdown reception came on the third drive, when he snared a perfect back-shoulder throw from Mason Rudolph. Washington also posted 43- and 22-yard catches during the contest, making it a stellar all-around effort on a night when JuJu Smith-Schuster was inactive for precautionary reasons.

Drops weight ahead of second season
Washington said Thursday that he's dropped roughly 15 pounds since the end of the 2018 season, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Washington self-reported that he played at 225 pounds during his rookie year, a weight you'd expect would make a 5-foot-11 player more of a running back. He now says he's down to 209, below the 213 pounds he was measured at during the 2018 NFL Combine. Competing with Moncrief outside
Washington likely will compete with Donte Moncrief for playing time, ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler reports.
Analysis: The Steelers added Moncrief and re-signed Eli Rogers shortly after they traded Antonio Brown, leaving them with five viable options for playing time at wide receiver once Ryan Switzer and lead dog JuJu Smith-Schuster are accounted for. Switzer and Rogers have both operated as slot specialists, while Smith-Schuster arguably does his best work inside but also is dangerous out wide. Leads team with 64 receiving yards

Analysis: The rookie benefited from Antonio Brown (knee) being inactive, falling one yard shy of matching his single-game high from Week 15. Washington finishes the 2018 season with 16 catches (on 38 targets) for 217 yards and one touchdown in 14 games. With Antonio Brown (knee) inactive Sunday against the Bengals, look for Washington's profile in the Steelers' Week 17 offense to expand.

Awful rookie season continues
Washington failed to catch either of his two targets during Sunday's 31-28 loss to New Orleans.
Analysis: This was the sixth of 13 games in which Washington was held without a reception and he has caught just 13 of 35 targets for an abysmal 37 percent catch rate. The Steelers needing a win and help to get in to the postseason, but there are much better receiving options than Washington in Week 17, despite facing a Cincinnati defense that ranks 30th in the league against the pass.

Could get start in New Orleans
Washington is expected to step into a starting role if JuJu Smith-Schuster (groin) can't play in Sunday's game at New Orleans, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis: The rookie second-round pick has caught just 13 of his 33 targets, but he took a step forward in last week's 17-10 win over the Patriots, nabbing three of four looks for 65 yards. Teammate Antonio Brown expects Smith-Schuster, who is listed as questionable, to give it a go, but an absence from Friday's practice suggests the second-year pro is truly questionable for the contest. Paces team in receiving yards
Washington brought in three of four targets for 65 yards in the Steelers' 17-10 win over the Patriots on Sunday.
Analysis: The rookie's receiving yardage total was not only tops on the afternoon for the Steelers, it also served as a career high. Just under half of Washington's production came on a 32-yard grab early in the third quarter down the right sideline, a spectacular catch that Washington made despite tight coverage by the Patriots' Jason McCourty. Analysis: Fellow wideout Justin Hunter (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, so Washington could see the field in his absence. Won't play Sunday
Washington is a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Analysis: Sunday's decision is the second time this season Washington has been a healthy inactive, as he is coming off a performance last week in which he failed to record a catch on three targets. Continues to underwhelm in loss
Washington failed to catch any of his three targets during Sunday's 24-17 loss to Denver.
Analysis: The rookie has a paltry eight catches for 77 yards this season and seems to have fallen behind Ryan Switzer (26-214) on the depth chart. Washington shook off a knee injury to put forth a full practice Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Analysis: It wasn't known that Washington was dealing with any health concerns coming out of Sunday's 23-16 win over the Ravens until he showed up on the Steelers' estimated practice report Monday as a limited participant due to the knee issue. Could have role in game plan Sunday
Washington said that he earned more reps in practice this week, which could translate to an increased role in the Pittsburgh offense Sunday in Baltimore, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
