Scores first career touchdown
Arcega-Whiteside caught one of his two targets for a 15-yard touchdown in Sunday's 37-31 loss to Miami.
Analysis: Arcega-Whiteside's first career score put the Eagles up 21-14 at the end of the first half. Despite the play, the rookie would not see a target in the second half. Coach Doug Pederson touted the Stanford product's role in the offense earlier in the week, yet he played two fewer snaps than Greg Ward's 29 while seeing one fewer target.

Staying involved in offense
Arcega-Whiteside is expected to retain a role in the Philadelphia offense behind Alshon Jeffery (ankle) and Nelson Agholor (knee) in Week 13 versus the Dolphins, Les Bowen and EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer report. "J.J. is kind of the guy now," coach Doug Pederson said Wednesday. "He's the one that's in that position and he's done some nice things in the games."
Analysis: Jeffery and Agholor are expected to return from injuries for Week 13 at Miami, but there's still room for the rookie to contribute in the No. 3 receiver role, albeit for a team that often favors two-tight end formations. The Eagles' decision to waive Jordan Matthews on Monday might be taken as a subtle vote of confidence in Arcega-Whiteside, who has caught just five of 13 targets for 86 yards on 249 offensive snaps in 2019. If nothing else, it's a good sign for the rookie's future that Pederson…read more

Gets five targets
Arcega-Whiteside hauled in two of his five targets for 43 yards in the team's Week 12 loss to the Seahawks.
Analysis: Only five of the team's 45 targets were directed toward Arcega-Whiteside, though he finished second on the team with 43 yards. His first reception came on a short pass which he turned upfield for 13 yards. However, the highlight came with only 23 seconds left in the game, when he nabbed a 30-yard pass down the sideline as he was falling out of bounds. Despite the highlight-reel play, Arcega-Whiteside may find targets even harder to come by in Week 13 against the Dolphins, as one or both of…read more

Likely to start Week 12
Arcega-Whiteside is expected to serve as one of the Eagles' starting wideouts Sunday against the Seahawks with both Alshon Jeffery (ankle) and Nelson Agholor (knee) inactive for the contest, Mike Kaye of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: The Eagles haven't announced their starting lineup for Week 12, but Jordan Matthews (85 percent offensive snap share, one catch for six yards on six targets) and Arcega-Whiteside (25 percent, one catch for 29 yards on one target) trailed only a healthy Agholor in terms of usage in the Week 11 loss to the Patriots. None of Matthews, Arcega-Whiteside, Greg Ward and Mack Hollins seemingly represent anything more than punt plays in DFS or dart throws in season-long leagues, however, as the quartet…read more

Plays just 19 snaps in loss
Arcega-Whiteside caught his only target for 29 yards in Sunday's 17-10 loss to New England.
Analysis: The Stanford product played just 19 snaps with Alshon Jeffery (ankle) out, significantly fewer than the 64 Jordan Matthews saw, despite the latter having just been signed this week. Nevertheless, Arcega-Whiteside made his first catch since Week 3. With Jeffery on the mend, the rookie receiver doesn't stand to see his playing time increase in the near future.

Not a factor in win
Arcega-Whiteside played just four snaps in Sunday's 31-13 win over Buffalo.
Analysis: Arcega-Whiteside has played just 29 snaps over the last five weeks and has not drawn a target in that time. It would take another rash of injuries to the Eagles' receiving corps before the rookie might become a factor in the offense.

Plays just two snaps in win
Arcega-Whiteside played just two snaps in Sunday's win against the Jets and didn't draw a target.
Analysis: Arcega-Whiteside had some chances to carve out a regular role in the passing game earlier this season but could not take advantage. With Alshon Jeffery healthy again and DeSean Jackson (abdomen) also on the mend, Arcega-Whiteside looks to be no better than Philadelphia's No. 4 receiver heading into Sunday's game in Minnesota.

Hardly sees field in win
Arcega-Whiteside played just six snaps in Thursday's 34-27 win over the Packers.
Analysis: Arcega-Whiteside did not see a target in the game, as Alshon Jeffery's return bumped the rookie back to the bench. Mack Hollins served as the clear third receiver, seeing 40 snaps. The Stanford product's chances of seeing the field are likely to be reduced even further with DeSean Jackson (abdomen) working his way back.

Sent back to bench
Arcega-Whiteside is expected to return to a reserve role for Thursday's game against the Packers, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Alshon Jeffery (calf) is on track to return from a one-game absence, rejoining Nelson Agholor and Mack Hollins as the regular trio in three-receiver formations. Arcega-Whiteside failed to take advantage of regular playing time the past two weeks, catching two of seven targets for 14 yards.

Puts in full practice
Arcega-Whiteside (heel) was a listed as a full participant Tuesday in the Eagles' walk-through practice, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: The wideout was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated report due to the heel injury, but his upgrade to full participation a day later implies there's no real concern about his availability for Thursday's game against Green Bay. With Alshon Jeffery (calf) trending toward a return from a one-game absence, Arcega-Whiteside could be in line for a role reduction after playing 72 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 3 loss to Detroit.

Heel issue heading into Week 4
Arcega-Whiteside (heel) was listed as a non-participant in Monday's practice estimation.
Analysis: The Eagles didn't hold a formal practice Monday, so what Arcega-Whiteside does Tuesday will be telling with regard to his status for Thursday's game against Green Bay. The rookie second-round pick caught one of three targets in Sunday's loss to the Lions.

On pace for first NFL start
Arcega-Whiteside likely will start Sunday's game versus the Lions with both Alshon Jeffery (calf) and DeSean Jackson (abdomen) inactive.
Analysis: Arcega-Whiteside took over for Jeffery upon his Week 2 departure. While he racked up a whopping 75 of the Eagles' 81 snaps on offense, Arcega-Whiteside managed just one reception (on four targets) for four yards. With Zach Ertz and Nelson Agholor on hand to scoop up the vast majority of Carson Wentz's passes, Arcega-Whiteside may need to hit on the outside or in the red zone to make much of an impact.

Plays 75 snaps in loss
Arcega-Whiteside played 75 snaps in Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: The spike in playing time was a direct result of the Eagles' top two receivers being forced out with leg injuries. Unfortunately for the rookie, it didn't translate to production, as he brought in only one of his four targets for four yards in the contest while Mack Hollins went for five catches for 50 yards on eight targets. If Alshon Jeffery (calf) or DeSean Jackson (groin) is forced to miss time, the Stanford product would likely be in line for increased snaps once again Week 3 at home…read more

Hardly involved in opener
Arcega-Whiteside played just five snaps on offense in Sunday's 32-27 win over Washington.
Analysis: Arcega-Whiteside did not see a target despite coach Doug Pederson's assertions earlier in the week that the rookie second-round pick would be involved in the offense. Instead, the Stanford product's greatest "contribution" was a holding penalty away from the ball that cost Miles Sanders a 21-yard touchdown in the game's final quarter. The 22-year-old will look to make up for that gaffe and create a larger role for himself Week 2 at Atlanta.

Will be involved in opener
Coach Doug Pederson confirmed Wednesday that Arcega-Whiteside has earned an early season role in the Eagles' offense, Daniel Gallen of The Harrisburg Patriot-News reports.
Analysis: Arcega-Whiteside heads into the regular season as the youngest member of a crowded receiver room housing Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson (finger) and Nelson Agholor. The veterans currently command the top three spots on the depth chart, but Pederson's comments suggest Arcega-Whiteside may see more prominent usage than a typical No. 4 wideout. The rookie second-round pick impressed in the preseason with 12 catches for 147 yards and a touchdown, and his 6-foot-2, 225-pound frame and jump-ball…read more

Could see red-zone work
Arcega-Whiteside likely will see more work than most No. 4 wide receivers, as well as red-zone looks, Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Inquirer
Analysis: Arcega-Whiteside has opened eyes this preseason, leading the team with 12 catches for 147 yards and a touchdown so far. The rookie has shown he knows how to use his 6-foot-2 frame in the red zone and will be employed as a weapon there. Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson missed seven games combined last year, so there is a good chance the Stanford product will make a few starts throughout the season as well.

Shines in preseason loss
Arcega-Whiteside caught eight of nine targets for 104 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 26-15 preseason loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: Arcega-Whiteside was dominant in this one, showing off the skills that prompted Philadelphia to select him in the second round of the 2019 draft. The rookie showed great chemistry with Josh McCown, and the pair linked up for a 20-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Eagles fans and fantasy coaches alike must be salivating at the thought of Arcega-Whiteside working with Carson Wentz after seeing this performance. Out of the gate this season, Arcega-Whiteside figures to work behind Alshon…read more

Quiet preseason debut
Arcega-Whiteside caught two of four targets for 23 yards in Thursday's preseason loss to the Titans.
Analysis: The rookie lined up with the first-team offense as Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson got the night off, and his 12-yard grab in the first quarter kicked off the Eagles' first of two scoring drives on the night. Arcega-Whiteside didn't put together a dazzling preseason debut, but he still has a chance to carve out a role in the regular season as a big, physical target for Carson Wentz.

Making bid for red-zone work
Arcega-Whiteside dominated red-zone drills during the Eagles' offseason program, according to Mike Kaye of NJ.com.
Analysis: At 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, the second-round pick is coming off a senior season with 14 of Stanford's 29 touchdown receptions, including a slew of contested catches in the red zone. Far from a one-year wonder, Arcega-Whiteside also hit paydirt nine times in 2017 for a run-heavy Cardinal offense that threw for just 23 scores. He now faces a difficult path to regular snaps in Philadelphia, where Alshon Jeffery (ribs), DeSean Jackson and Nelson Agholor (lower body) will form the regular grouping in…read more
