Grabs long TD in win
Hardman caught his only target for a 48-yard touchdown in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Patrick Mahomes appeared to injure his throwing hand early in the game and didn't take many shots downfield afterwards, but he did connect with Hardman on a long TD in the second quarter -- although the rookie did have to come back for the underthrown ball before turning on the jets to beat safety Duron Harmon and get to the end zone. Hardman has seen zero or one target in four of the last five games but has still managed to score twice on his four total catches over that stretch, highlighting…read more

Minimal Week 13 showing
Hardman rushed once for nine yards and didn't haul in a pass Sunday versus the Raiders.
Analysis: Hardman saw a drastic dip in his playing time this week with Tyreek Hill available, ranking fourth at the position in total snaps behind Hill, Sammy Watkins and Demarcus Robinson. The rookie has some viable fantasy weeks under his belt, but it would likely require missed time from either Hill or Watkins down the stretch for him to warrant ownership in most redraft leagues.

Slow day despite added snaps
Hardman collected two of his four targets for 13 yards Monday against the Chargers.
Analysis: Hardman saw a bump in his snap count following Tyreek Hill's (hamstring) injury, but it didn't raise his fantasy value much on the night. A significant workload increase could be on tap again following the bye if Hill sits following the bye week, potentially positioning Hardman for fantasy relevance in some formats versus a subpar Raiders pass defense.

Goes big with only target
Hardman reeled in his lone target for a 63-yard touchdown Sunday against the Titans.
Analysis: Hardman saw a slight increase in his offensive snap percentage Sunday to 22 from 18 and 15 in the previous two weeks. He'll need to use his speed to take advantage of his minimal target share, but he's managed to do just that in three of the last four games, turning just six targets and five receptions into three touchdowns. Still, the lack of volume likely makes Hardman a flier fantasy option in most formats.

Disappears in Week 9
Hardman was not targeted in Sunday's game against the Vikings, but he did run the ball once for seven yards.
Analysis: Hardman was on the field offensively for just 11 snaps and 20 combined in the last two weeks, a signal that he's well behind Demarcus Robinson (24 snaps) in pecking order at this point. Hardman did contribute in the return game, going over 100 yards on kicks and adding 17 more on punts, but he also coughed the ball up once. At this point, the rookie doesn't look to be anything more than a return specialist with a few offensive plays mixed in.

Hits paydirt again
Hardman caught both of his targets for 55 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-24 loss to Green Bay.
Analysis: Hardman has seen his targets decrease by one in each game since Tyreek Hill returned from injury, but the speedy wideout has been able to find the end zone in consecutive contests. The speedy rookie will need to bust out big plays in order maintain fantasy value with the rest of the Chiefs' receiving corps back at full strength. Hardman would have a higher chance of breaking off a huge gain if Patrick Mahomes (knee) is able to return for Week 9's matchup with Minnesota.

Gets into end zone during win
Hardman secured two of three targets for 28 yards and a touchdown and returned one punt for 36 yards in the Chiefs' 30-6 win over the Broncos on Thursday.
Analysis: Hardman was on the receiving end of Patrick Mahomes' only touchdown pass of the night before the latter's exit from the game early in the second quarter with a knee injury. The rookie also flashed his impressive speed on his one punt return and snapped a three-game touchdown-less streak with the aforementioned 21-yard scoring grab in the first quarter. Hardman will look to build on Thursday's performance in a Week 8 matchup against the Packers, a week from Sunday.

Catches all four targets
Hardman caught all four of his targets for 45 yards during Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Texans.
Analysis: Hardman tied for second on the team in receptions and finished behind only Tyreek Hill in receiving yards among Chiefs wideouts. While Sammy Watkins (hamstring) was inactive for this one, it was encouraging to see Hardman maintain a role with the rest of the team's top pass-catchers in uniform. He should see a handful of targets Thursday against the Broncos, but he'll remain dependent on big plays.

Gains 79 receiving yards
Hardman caught four passes (six targets) for 79 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to the Colts.
Analysis: Hardman turned in a decent stat line, but Byron Pringle (six catches, 103 yards and a score) came out of nowhere to lead the team in receiving after Sammy Watkins (hamstring) left the game in the first quarter. The four catches and six targets both matched season highs for the speedy rookie, and his playing time could take a hit soon with Tyreek Hill (shoulder) nearing a return to action. Even if the latter doesn't return, Hardman will be a boom-or-bust option against the Texans on Sunday.

Disappointing Week 4 showing
Hardman reeled in just two of his five targets for nine yards Sunday against the Lions.
Analysis: Hardman's snap count percentage equaled that of Week 3 against the Ravens, but he was unable to get much going from a pass-catching perspective. Given his lack of volume, Hardman's fantasy value will mainly be derived from a long touchdown grab as it was in each of the past two weeks. Tyreek Hill's (shoulder) eventual return also figures to eat away at his fantasy value.

Picks up 104 yards in win
Hardman caught two of five targets for 97 yards and a score during Sunday's 33-28 win over the Ravens. He added a seven-yard carry.
Analysis: Hardman really needed just one snap to make a difference Sunday, racing up the seam for an 83-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter. It was Hardman's second-consecutive week with a touchdown of 40 or more yards. Hardman was drafted by Kansas City when Tyreek Hill's future was in question from a legal and league-discipline perspective. With Hill (shoulder) now on the shelf for at least the next few weeks, Hardman should continue terrifying defenses with the big-play ability that caught Kansas…read more

Hauls in first touchdown
Hardman caught four of six targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-10 win over the Raiders.
Analysis: His first NFL score came on a 42-yard strike from Patrick Mahomes, part of a four-TD second quarter for the Chiefs' passing game. As expected, Hardman saw an expanded role with Tyreek Hill (collarbone) out of action, but Sammy Watkins led the team in targets and Demarcus Robinson had a massive performance with 172 yards and two scores. The team may not have a true No. 1 WR while Hill is sidelined -- although as Sunday's results showed, there's more than enough production to go around for all…read more

Could see expanded role
Hardman's teammate, Tyreek Hill, is in line to miss a few weeks, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Analysis: Hardman did not record a catch in Week 1, but news that Hill will miss some time likely foreshadows Hardman -- who the Chiefs selected 56th overall this past April -- seeing added snaps/touches in the team's offense. Considering that he'll be catching passes from Patrick Mahomes, Hardman now looks like a player who could carry some fantasy utility in the coming weeks.

Two long catches in loss
Hardman caught three of four targets, accounting for 40 receiving yards during Saturday's 27-17 preseason loss to San Francisco. He added one kick return of 21 yards, as well as a two-yard punt return.
Analysis: Against the 49ers in Week 3 of preseason play, Hardman flashed the game-breaking ability that convinced Andy Reid and the Chiefs' brass to invest a second-round draft choice in him during April's draft. Hardman was called for an offensive pass interference penalty on a second-quarter drive with Chad Henne leading the charge, but made up for that misstep with receptions of 15, 18 and seven yards -- all from backup quarterback Kyle Shurmur, within a span of six offensive plays on Kansas City's…read more

Makes most of one catch
Hardman snared one of three targets for a 17-yard touchdown and also netted zero yards on two punt returns in the Chiefs' 17-7 preseason loss to the Steelers on Saturday.
Analysis: The rookie was responsible for the Chiefs' only touchdown of the night, making his scoring grab on a pass off the arm of Chad Henne in the second quarter. Hardman fared better than his primary competition for the third receiver job, Demarcus Robinson, who finished with one catch for six yards. The two will continue their preseason battle in next Saturday's exhibition tilt against the 49ers.

Returns to practice with TD
Hardman (illness) rejoined practice Sunday and snared a broken-play touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes, Matt Derrick of Chiefs Digest reports.
Analysis: Hardman has gotten off to a strong start early in camp and stated his case for the No. 3 wide receiver role in one of the league's most explosive offenses. The rookie will need to continue to impress to beat out his chief competition in Demarcus Robinson, but Hardman and Tyreek Hill (quadriceps) could combine to provide a pair of burners on the outside for the strong-armed Patrick Mahomes. The presence of Hill, Sammy Watkins and Travis Kelce may limit the looks headed Hardman's way even if he…read more

Under the weather
Hardman didn't finish Friday's practice because of an illness, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: We don't expect Hardman to miss much, if any, time beyond Friday's session. The report also notes that the rookie pass catcher was very impressive prior to his early exit from practice. Hardman's path to consistent work in the Chiefs' offense is somewhat complicated by the continued presence of Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins and tight end Travis Kelce, but if any one of that trio misses time for any reason, it's not hard to imagine the dynamic Hardman absorbing enough touches to make a fantasy…read more
