Converts four kicks
Slye made both field-goal attempts and both extra-point attempts during Sunday's 40-20 loss in Atlanta.
Analysis: Slye was able to convert from 46 and 42 yards on his field goals, which were his first field-goal attempts since a shaky Week 12 performance. The 23-year-old likely is still on a short leash with seven missed field goals and four missed extra points this season, but he'll head into Sunday's matchup with the Seahawks having made his last seven kicks.

Just three points
Slye did not attempt a field goal but made all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Redskins.
Analysis: Slye maintained his job after a tumultuous Week 12, and although he wasn't involved much Sunday, the kicker at least converted all three of his kicking opportunities. That should help build back Slye's confidence, but the fact he's scored just 26 points over the last six games has seen his stock fall significantly.

Continues kicking duties
Slye is expected to continue kick for the Panthers despite two missed extra points and a missed 28-yard field goal in last week's loss to the Saints, David Newton of ESPN reports.
Analysis: It was a tough game for Slye, who most notably missed a potential game-winning 28-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter of last Sunday's game. The Panthers signed another kicker to their practice squad early this week, but he was never really a threat to Slye's job. Should the Virginia Tech product continue to under-perform, however, threats about him being replaced could get more serious.

Set for competition
Coach Ron Rivera said Monday that the Panthers may bring in kickers for tryouts this week, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Slye missed two extra-point attempts and a 28-yard field-goal try during Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Saints. His missed field goal came with only two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. As a result of the costly performance, Slye appears to be on thin ice with Carolina's coaching staff. His hold on the Panthers' kicking job may not be secure for long.

Costs Panthers in Week 12
Slye missed a 28-yard field goal as well as two extra-point tries in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Saints. He finished with seven points total, making field goals from 41 and 52 yards as well as one extra point.
Analysis: Slye was largely to blame for Carolina's loss, as his stunning field-goal miss came with just two minutes remaining. The rookie also failed on two extra-point efforts, wasting away further opportunities. Although his seven points actually marked his most since Week 6, Slye will still be very disappointed by Sunday's showing.

Just one attempt
Slye made his only kick, a 31-yard field goal, in Sunday's 29-3 loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: Slye scored Carolina's only points, and although he did all that was required of him, the rookie's production has tailed off in recent weeks. In the Panthers' last four games, he's managed merely 16 points, marking a stark contrast compared to his 56 through the first six weeks.

Makes both kicks
Slye made his only field-goal attempt as well as his lone extra-point try in Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Slye converted from 50 yards on his field goal, now giving him five makes from at least that far already this season. Although he's managed just 13 points over the past three games, Slye's season total of 69 is still rather respectable.

Misses two kicks
Slye made one of his two field-goal attempts and three of his four extra-point tries in Sunday's 30-20 win over the Titans.
Analysis: Slye converted his first four kicks, including a 35-yard field goal, but ran into trouble in the fourth quarter. After having an extra point blocked, he missed a 49-yard field goal wide left on Carolina's next drive. Overall, that left him with just six points, lowering his season average to just over eight per game.

Hardly involved Sunday
Slye made his only field-goal attempt and did not attempt any extra points in Sunday's 51-13 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Slye converted from 41 yards on his lone kicking effort in Sunday's blowout defeat. Although he's averaging over eight points per game this season, Slye has gone for under five points in two of his last three appearances, hurting his stock of late.

Hits double digits again
Slye made three of five field-goal attempts and all four of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 37-26 win over the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Slye converted from 49, 46 and 29 yards on his respective field-goal makes, but missed a rarely seen, 60-yard fair-catch kick as the first-half clock expired. Like that attempt, he also missed wide right from 41 yards in the second half. Despite those failures, however, Slye still notched an impressive 13 points, giving him 56 through Carolina's first six outings.

Rough outing Sunday
Slye missed both his field-goal attempts and one of his five extra-point tries in Sunday's 34-27 win over the Jaguars.
Analysis: Slye had been excellent through his first four NFL appearances, but he showed some rookie vulnerability Sunday. Although his first miss was not only blocked, but was from an excusable distance of 56 yards, he missed wide right from 46 on his second attempt. Slye then sailed it right again on his final extra-point effort, which left the Panthers only up seven with under four minutes left. Overall, it was Slye's worst showing yet, and his first game with under eight points this season. He'll look…read more

Excellent once again
Slye made all three of his field goals as well as his lone extra-point try in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Texans.
Analysis: Slye converted from 48, 55 and 26 yards on his respective field goals, continuing a superb start to his rookie season. Through four games, he's made 19 of 20 total kicks, including four field goals from 50-plus yards. With 39 points overall, he's currently tied for the league lead in the category, making him a top fantasy weapon at his position.

Perfect in win
Slye made his lone field-goal attempt and all five of his extra-point tries en route to eight points in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: Slye converted from 36 yards in the fourth quarter to cap Carolina's best scoring performance so far this season. Although it conversely marked Slye's lowest individual output, he still sports a healthy 29 points through three games, missing just one of his 16 total kicks.

Makes four field goals
Slye converted all four of his field-goal attempts and did not attempt an extra point in Thursday's loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Slye's production was based off a Panthers offense that was unable to move the ball while in Buccaneers territory, as he made field goals from 32, 37, 54 and 51 yards. The 23-year-old has been impressive through two weeks, going 6-for-7 on field-goal attempts while converting three of four attempts from 50-plus yards.

Makes 50-plus yarder
Slye made two of three field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries en route to nine points in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Slye went wide right from 53 yards on his first regular-season attempt, but he responded by draining 46- and 52-yard kicks on his subsequent tries. Overall, that made for a solid debut, although the fact Carolina lost by three might leave him with something to atone for.

Makes 59-yard field goal
Slye made one of two field-goal attempts and both his extra-point tries en route to five points in Thursday night's 25-19 preseason win over the Steelers.
Analysis: Slye had a 48-yarder blocked to end Carolina's opening drive of the game, but redeemed himself in fantastic fashion later on. To begin the second quarter, he converted from 59 yards, putting an exclamation point on his spectacular preseason. With veteran Graham Gano (knee) sidelined, Slye went 7-of-8 on field goals, including three from 50-plus yards and three from 40-49. That success should put him on a regular-season roster, whether it be with the Panthers or elsewhere. With that in mind,…read more

Making case for NFL gig
Slye has made each of his six field-goal attempts through three preseason games, including two kicks of 50-plus yards and three more of 40-49.
Analysis: Taking advantage of Graham Gano's continued absence due to a leg injury, Slye is building a strong case for an NFL job, be it with the Panthers or another team. His recent success makes it hard to draft Gano with any confidence, as the Panthers might cut or trade the veteran to make room for the youngster.
