Dealing with foot injury
Moss is nursing a foot injury, Rhiannon Walker of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The nature of Moss's placement on IR back in August was initially undisclosed, but it's now clear that he's dealing with a foot injury. The undrafted rookie out of LSU will likely need to look ahead to 2021 for a chance to make his NFL debut.

Waived with injury tag
Washington waived/injured Moss (undisclosed) on Friday.
Analysis: Julie Donaldson of Washington's official site reported that this is a procedural move, and if Moss clears waivers, he'll land on Washington's injured reserve. The undrafted rookie out of LSU struggled through the early part of training camp, and his prior foot injury could be a contributing factor.

Struggles in practice
Moss (foot) "got an earful" from tight ends coach Pete Hoener during Wednesday's practice, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Analysis: The undrafted rookie out of LSU hasn't necessarily made the best first impression, but he's at least been healthy enough to practice after having foot surgery during the offseason. Moss has been one of the more frequently discussed UDFAs among fantasy players, with his landing spot in Washington putting him in arguably the weakest tight-end room in the NFL. Even so, he's likely headed for a healthy inactive in Week 1, if he makes Washington's final roster.
