Makes all four kicks in Super Bowl
McPherson converted both field-goal attempts and both PATs during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Rams in Super Bowl LVI.
Analysis: It was a strong finish to a successful playoff run for McPherson, as he went 14-for-14 on field goals and 6-for-6 on PATs in four contests, though he didn't receive an opportunity to tie the game in the fourth quarter Sunday. The 22-year-old enjoyed a successful rookie campaign, going 28-for-33 on field-goal attempts and 46-for-48 on extra points. McPherson is a safe bet to open training camp as Cincinnati's kicker for 2022.

Full participant Tuesday
McPherson (groin) fully participated in Tuesday's practice session, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: McPherson was inactive for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Browns due to a groin injury, but it appears as though he's back to full health. The 22-year-old should be available for Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Raiders after Elliott Fry filled in during the Bengals' Week 18 loss to the Browns.

Not playing Week 18
McPherson (groin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: McPherson's first absence of the season was foreshadowed Saturday, when the Bengals promoted another kicker (Elliott Fry) from the practice squad. Fry will thus step in to handle kicking duties in place of McPherson, who should be ready to go for the wild-card round. The fifth-round rookie out of Florida turned in a productive regular season, connecting on 46 of 48 extra-point tries and 28 of 33 field-goal attempts, including a 9-for-11 mark from 50-plus yards.

Appears unlikely to play Sunday
McPherson (groin) appears unlikely to play Sunday against the Browns after kicker Elliott Fry was elevated from the Bengals' practice squad Saturday, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Analysis: McPherson appeared to be trending in the right direction ahead of Week 18 but was still listed as questionable against the Browns. If he's ultimately inactive, he'll fall one field goal shy of setting the Bengals' single-season scoring record.

Questionable against Browns
McPherson (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: McPherson was limited at practice Wednesday and Thursday, but he fully participated in Friday's practice session and is trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale. Across his last four appearances, the rookie has made 10 of 12 field-goal attempts while converting all 11 of his extra-point tries.

Limited at practice Wednesday
McPherson was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice session due to a groin injury, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: McPherson made all six of his kicks in Sunday's win over the Chiefs to help Cincinnati clinch the AFC North crown, but he apparently sustained a groin injury during the contest. If he hopes to avoid taking a designation into the Bengals' Week 18 game in Cleveland, he'll likely need to practice fully Thursday or Friday.

Nails game-winner Sunday
McPherson made both of his field-goal attempts and all four of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 34-31 win over the Chiefs.
Analysis: With the Bengals offense chugging along once again, McPherson had plenty of work to do, although it mostly came after touchdowns. His 20-yard kick to win it as time expired was among the easiest he's ever had in terms of distance while simultaneously being probably the most pressure-packed in terms of importance. The rookie has now put up at least nine points in four straight games.

Busy day in win
McPherson made two of his three field-goal attempts and all five of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 41-21 win over the Ravens.
Analysis: Joe Burrow, who threw for a career-high 525 yards, continued to move the Bengals' offense into scoring position, which meant a big day for the rookie kicker. However, after nailing a 30-yard attempt to open the scoring and adding a 36-yarder at the end of the third quarter, McPherson pushed a 50-yard field goal wide right with five minutes left to go in the game. The 22-year-old is now 26-for-31 on the season, including 9-for-11 from 50-plus yards.

In spite of Sunday's missed field-goal attempt, he's made multiple field goals in three of the last four games and has converted 10 of 11 field-goal attempts while making 10 of 12 extra-point tries during that time.

Drills two kicks Sunday
McPherson made his lone field-goal attempt and converted one of two extra-point tries in Sunday's 41-22 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: McPherson missed a PAT wide right midway through the second quarter Sunday, but he bounced back by making both of his subsequent kicks. Although the 22-year-old has been perfect on his field-goal attempts in the three games since Cincinnati's Week 10 bye, he's missed two extra-point tries across that span. McPherson has converted all seven of his field-goal attempts while making eight of 10 extra-point tries during that time.

Analysis: McPherson has now attempted seven kicks in each of the last two weeks, and he was perfect in Sunday's blowout victory. The rookie has made all six of his field-goal attempts while converting seven of eight extra-point tries across the last two games, and he'll attempt to remain productive against the Chargers on Sunday.

Analysis: McPherson nailed a 21-yard field goal to extended the Bengals' lead to 17-7 with 1:51 remaining in the first half. Other than that, he was only summoned for extra-point tries. After missing two field goals against the Packers in Week 5, the rookie has bounced back to make his next 18 kicks, including all five field-goal attempts over that span.

Makes another seven kicks
McPherson converted both of his field-goal attempts while making all five of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 41-17 win over the Ravens.
Analysis: McPherson was successful from 52 and 30 yards out in the first half, but he didn't attempt a field goal after halftime, as the Bengals found the end zone on all four of their scoring drives in the second half. The rookie out of Florida started 5-for-8 on field-goal attempts through five games but has gone 4-for-4 over the last two.

Misses two field goals in loss
McPherson connected on two extra points but missed both of his field-goal attempts during Sunday's 25-22 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: McPherson hit the upright on a 57-yard field goal with 26 seconds left in the fourth quarter that would've put the Bengals up 25-22. After the Packers Mason Crosby missed back-to-back game-winning kicks, the rookie was summoned once again and pulled a 49-yard attempt wide left. McPherson was off to a hot start in his first season in the NFL, but Sunday's performance should temper expectations for the 22-year-old. McPherson will have a chance to bounce back against the Lions in Week 6.

Bounces back to make game-winner
McPherson made one of his two field-goal attempts and all three of his extra points during Thursday's 24-21 win over the Jaguars.
Analysis: McPherson pushed a 43-yard field goal wide left -- the first miss of his career -- on the Bengals' opening drive. However, the rookie bounced back by making all three of his extra points before being summoned for a 35-yard field goal with three seconds left. McPherson showed his poise and connected on his second walk-off kick of his short career. Analysis: McPherson capped a 10-play drive to start the second half with a 43-yard field goal to give the Bengals a 17-7 lead. The rookie fifth-round pick hasn't missed over the first three games of his NFL career, making two 50-plus yard field goals along the way. His production will rely on Cincinnati's offense to continue to move the ball, but he is on pace for a solid fantasy season.

Wins starting job in Cincinnati
McPherson was named the Bengals' starting kicker Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: The Bengals selected McPherson in the fifth round of April's draft, so he entered training camp with an edge on incumbent Austin Seibert, who was released Tuesday. McPherson solidified his starting role with a perfect preseason, as he drilled all five of his field-goal attempts, including a 57-yarder in the preseason finale. The Bengals' offense has high upside depending on quarterback Joe Burrow's health, so it's worth monitoring McPherson as a fantasy contributor.

Great camp
McPherson has been fantastic at camp so far, making nearly every kick, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Given that the Bengals used a fifth-round pick to acquire McPherson, he was going to win most tiebreakers over Austin Seibert for the job, and his performance will only aid him in that effort.
